The long lost sequel? Actually, it's Peter Carter's 1978 HIGH-BALLIN, released in some territories under the deceptive title of CONVOY 2 to cash in on the commercial success of Peckinpah's film. Fun fact: There was also an unofficial CONVOY 3, which was actually a re-released and retitled THE GREAT SMOKEY ROAD BLOCK (directed by John Leone;
starring Peter's dad Henry and Dub Taylor), made in 1977 -- one year before CONVOY!

Gena Rowlands died today at age 94. In 2021, Richard Brody of The New Yorker wrote, "The most important and original movie actor of the past half century-plus is Gena Rowlands." If you haven't discovered this just pick out such films as A WOMAN UNDER THE INFLUENCE, GLORIA, ANOTHER WOMAN or nearly any of the fifty plus films she made.
