On this date January 9, 1967 the LP "More Of The Monkees" was released on Colgems Records. Producer credits on the album were listed as:
Jeff Barry, Tommy Boyce, Bobby Hart, Michael Nesmith, Jack Keller ,Gerry Goffin, Carole King, Neil Sedaka, and Carole Bayer Sager.
It displaced the band's debut album from the top of the Billboard 200 chart and remained at No.1 for 18 weeksβthe longest of any Monkees album. Combined, the first two Monkees albums were at the top of the Billboard chart for 31 consecutive weeks. The album also went to No.1 in the UK.
The band learned of the album's existence while on tour in Cleveland, Ohio, surprised it had been released without their knowing.

On this date, November 6, 1967, the fourth album by The Monkees "Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn & Jones Ltd. " was released on Colgems Records, produced by Chip Douglas. It sold over three million copies, and was the band's fourth consecutive album to reach No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200.
The album's single, "Pleasant Valley Sunday" b/w "Words", peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100.
It was recorded April 26-October 9, 1967 at RCA Studios in Hollywood and New York.
