I’ve been reflecting over the past year today and feeling so grateful for all the love and support in this community that's gotten us through a really difficult time of family health issues and loss.
I appreciate you all so much... thank you again for notes of encouragement, checking in on me and being such an overall fantastic community. You all have been a blessing for me and mine during this difficult time for the Flickerwix household.
So in addition to feeling grateful for the family finally being healthy, I am most thankful for you! 💜

I know it's been a bit since we've had shop updates out - with the family obligations requiring travel and monopolizing so much of my time of late, I'm behind schedule on several announcements including our rep search results. I'm so sorry about that - I know it's difficult waiting for decisions. Those selections will be coming out this weekend along with a change on the rep period dates to accommodate for the tardiness on my part. The official term is NOVEMBER through APRIL 2024, and is open Internationally, but will start in January for our International Friends.
This search is open for previous, current & new Influencers!
Since our last search with this format was such a success, we've opted to use the more personal online application instead of the standard IG post as your entry again this cycle. Hopefully, this will be a less stressful application process and will alleviate the dreaded theme hit with rep search posts.

Even though it's still hotter than Chapter 55 here in the sunshine state, we've got some Witchful Thinking goin on 'round here at the Flickerwix shop with some AMAZING new additions for the season! With 23 new fall scents dropping, you're bound to find a candle (or two) for whatever spices YOUR pumpkin. 😂 Be sure to swipe for some sneak peeks of our gorgeous (and adorbs) Apothecary Collection and then head to stories for a deep dive on all the new releases! These delectable babies are dropping Friday, September 1st at 8 pm eastern and will show as "SOLD OUT" until then.
Please note! Due to Hurricane Idalia, the website is CURRENTLY DOWN to prep for the drop. Since we didn't need to evacuate and we still have power, I'm expecting the website to be back up again by Friday morning at the latest for you to be able to peruse the new babies at your leisure, and then inventory will be added on the limited stock items at 8 pm. If we can bring the website back up earlier than that, we certainly will - stay tuned for more news on that front. The storm forced us to change our drop schedule a wee bit, but we're getting back on track. 👏

QOTD: How do you feel about novellas?! I must admit I adore a good novella. Especially when they give you that quick fix you are absolutely dying to get of your favorite characters while you are (not so) patiently waiting for the next book in the series to drop. 🤣 Not to mention, sometimes novellas share with you some amazing backstory and depth to characters that you realize you adore as much as the MMC & FMC of the series but that you wouldn't get any other way! Needless to say, if you've not read Six Scorched Roses yet and you are a fan of the Crown of Nyaxia universe, you TOTALLY NEED TO READ IT RIGHT NOW! Vale is positively :: swoon-worthy :: and it's made me fall head over heels for him. 🤭

BAN FASCISTS, NOT BOOKS!

As a Florida-based Business, we've seen more than our fair share of fascism this year. And to be honest, it's been one of the main reasons for our hiatus from social media over the past few months. It's so hard to see all the bickering and hate on social media these days over politics, gender issues and personal freedoms that it's caused my anxiety and worry to skyrocket.
As a dedicated reader, it is an absolute travesty to see the wave of book banning here in my own state and to see news articles about others' legislatures pushing for the defunding of libraries. I've never seen anything like this before in my life, and no matter what side of the isle you stand on, restriction of information and free speech is NEVER a good thing. So... That said, I've finally come to the conclusion that the only way for me to feel better about what's going on is to do what I can, in my own small way, to try to make a difference.
In today's restock, we're releasing two charity candles. Ban Fascists, Not Books! and Read Banned Books. Both of which have our best-selling Enchanted Library scent and are available in 4 oz Tins or 4 oz Glass (with glitter). Each sale of either of these candles will donate $3.00 to Pen America to help fight censorship, support authors, and hopefully protect access to diverse voices in our great nation.
We're just a little candle shop, but I'm hopeful that these babies will help us raise money for a very worthy cause. If you'd like to do more or donate on your own, you can read about Pen America and what they do through links in my bio.
Also.. while you're there... if you're in Florida and want to see reproductive freedom on the ballot in 2024, be sure to follow that link on my profile to Floridians Protecting Freedom to find out how to submit your petition.

OMG, y'all. I just finished A Light in the Flame and I.AM.SHOOKETH. 🤯 I've always had a thing for Daddy Nyktos, but after this book?! Sweet baby jesus, he may just have to be my new BAE. 🥵 A Light in the Flame picks up right after ASITE, and this sucker is packed with twists, turns, romance and action. I'm so excited to see where the next installment takes us! Absolutely loved it and I can't wait for more. What was your last 5 star read?

Q: Who's your favorite TOG Couple?! Of course I love Rowaelin.. who doesn't? But, I think my fave is Manorian. They're such an opposites attract kind of couple and Manon's sass just leads to so much amazing banter between them that I think they've edged out all the other amazing duos in the series for me. Uggh.. it is hard to choose though, because Elorcan's Grumpy/Sunshine is amazing, too. 😂 Who's your fave?!
Hurricanes and power outages and evacuations, OH MY!!!! Happy Monday, my darling book nerds... how have you been?! Welp, it's certainly been a month here at the Flickerwix house. Fortunately for us, we managed to escape hurricane Ian with minimal impact unlike soooo many of my neighbors, but with mandatory evacuations with the family and our beasts, it's certainly been a stressful time. Who knew pups were worse than kiddos?! 😂
At this point, we're back home and have almost caught up from the impacts to processing times and the business. We were so very fortunate to have missed the majority of the storm and I'll take that as a huge blessing. I also wanted to pause and send a huge thank you out to you all for your support and patience as we've work through the delays from outages and whatnot. I really appreciate all the love and support that we've received over this stressful time, so thank you so so much. You guys are amazing!💜
