Happy Father's Day β’ A New Meaning
Father's Day was a day to be ignored, for 15 years I avoided the marketing, diverted myself away from the gifts and cards at supermarkets, ignored the TV ads and spam emails reminding me to get Dad some socks and a card. But this year, is the first year I am so excited to celebrate this day with you My Love. You bring a whole new meaning to the word Father and it fills my heart to bursting. It's still a name you are getting used to, "Dad" and the new role we have been given "Parents" like a new skin that doesn't quite fit yet but it will it
time. Like you say, we are still just Us but with this extra thing we have to take care of now. As time goes by I can feel the strings of family ties pulling us closer together and watching the bond between you and our son become deeper which gives me a sense of pure joy and comfort. "Family" was always a painful concept to me, even as recent as last August after losing mum and ultimately losing my parents, but now here we are restarting the timeline except it's our turn now, to bring a new meaning to the word because now it's "Our Family".
This week has been.. Many friends, lots of pass the baby cuddles with my sociable little boy. Plenty of nature, excellent conversation and food. Omi's House, a place of healing.
Find yourself someone that looks at you like Jonah looks at Veiga

Brockle Farm, South Petherwin π§βπΎπ©βπΎπ
This is where I grew up when not in Essex. On my Grandparents Farm, with my Great Uncle and Aunt next door and cousins down the lane. I didn't realise just how lucky I was to have this experience until I didn't have it anymore, all the older generations are gone, time moves on without them but this farm still stands, still working in the family. This is Patch the cow that wanted to come say hello π It's been amazing taking a walk down memory lane with family and our next little generation in our arms ποΈπ
Happy Birthday to the love of my life .kossick Thanks for the mini you!!
Shandy Sisters π€ When you're both sleep deprived and on the floor best to pop to the pub really
Brother Birthday Appreciation Post! You are genuinely the best uncle to Jonah and I'm so grateful to have you as my sibling to weather the storm of life with. The only other person on this planet that has the same memories as me of our crazy family unit growing up. And also my arch nemesis. Love you, sorry I forgot your birthday today, I am π― a terrible sister but this may be my only chance to claim baby brain and I'm taking it π¬π³
First Family Holiday, off to Omi Catherines for the weekend! Obligatory service station selfie, turns out Jonah is an absolute flirt with strangers he had everyone swooning
First time baby free! Surprise lunch date with .kossick π We were giddy going in and so very sleepy coming out, but totally worth it. I was overjoyed I could drink my Aperol Spritz with BOTH HANDS!
Going Out With A Newborn... Is a magnet for the elderly. They literally stop and fan girl over him like he's from The Beatles. One man patted me on the back, a couple of ladies shouted at me across the road, it's baby mania out there in elderly land. BABY MANIA
6 years on and Mackeys snuggle game is still strong.. Then π Now

Happy Valentines .kossick I can't quite we did this. I simply could not have done it without you, my rock. Sorry no card or present, but I did get you a baby...
Having a baby and maintaining a singing career just isn't something I ever thought would be possible, I always thought I'd have to go find a boring job or loose all my work to deps once I stepped out of the rat race, but have supported me every step of the way during this tough year and this pregnancy. When I decided to call it quits for gigging sooner than planned it was no problem and when I couldn't make a gig because I was grieving so badly, it was no sweat for them, in my experience this is rare in the industry... It's also been a huge relief to know I can take my maternity leave and come right back to work when I'm good and ready. The Marks are truly a wonderful team to work for, especially when they send such lovely flowers and stop me eating dodgy smoked salmon sandwiches (I'm not very good at following pregnancy rules lol). Thank you! β€οΈππ
P.S also did the flowers for Mum's Thanks Giving Service and they were absolutely STUNNING πΈπ»πΊπΉπ·πΌπ΅οΈπ
π»Flying my Crazy Cat Lady flag proudly today π» For my last day of teaching at until September next year!! I've loved teaching in person this semester. I'm amazed I managed to keep the commute up for 11 weeks, last week was a physical struggle. I def cried waddling up a big hill home last week π₯² Thank you to for supporting me unwaveringly, I can't stress the legendary status of this woman enough! π―ββοΈ
Last week of work and it looks like I'll be doing it from home thanks to the uptick in covid in London. Mixed feelings about it but also, I'm lazy, and like my sofa a lot.
