Sirens Women's+ MC of NYC
Women, cis and trans, and folks outside the gender binary who ride motorcycles and make noise. We led the 2016 NYC LGBT Pride Parade with over 120 bikes!
Our founding members placed an ad in the Village Voice and held the first meeting in a living room 30 years ago. We chose the name Sirens from a list of possibilities that included Skid Lids and Sister Spokes! Artist in residence Lori created the artwork that became our club colors. Four or five original members rode in NYC's Gay Pride Parade for the first time in June of 1986. The following year
We not only rode over 500 miles in two days for the Ramapo 500, we also won Most Represented Club! The ride was full of awesome twists and turns, and even included a three mile gravel path stretch (that was more daunting than the downpour Saturday AM). We came back with full hearts and iron butts - so excited to do it again next year!
We had the greatest pleasure of being able to support the grand opening of the Stone wall National Monument Visitors Center on June 29th. If you ever have the chance to visit it is a beautiful exhibit of LGBTQIA+ history and culture.
It is also the first LGBTQIA+ visitor center within the National Park System! So cool!!

This week we have a Bike that like the 80's movie, is Pretty in Pink. We have Trixie the 2012 Kawasaki Ninja 650
Her owner loves "The way she handles in the curves, and her need for speed. She purrddy!!! Pretty in Pink!!!"
Trixie has been wrapped in pink, and she's been lowered. She has a yoshimura exhaust, rear fender eliminator, pink ASV levers, purple hyperpro shock, and an intergrated led tail light. The fender eliminator and the pink wrap are purely aesthetic. The lowering and the levers are so that the bike fits me better, I'm 5'1". The shock and the exhaust are for performance.
Nothing like practicing slow/parade riding during a parking lot skills day!
Thankfully we got out before the rain hit ๐ง๏ธโ๏ธ

"The Goldwing is the most manageable large touring bike I've ever ridden. It's designed for smaller riders and is extremely balanced so I rarely feel the weight. It has a reverse engine so it's a breeze to park and an advanced stopping system so there is little recoil and bounce when stopping. This also has all the comforts of a large touring bike including heated seats, large luggage, in-dash GPS, Android carplay and excellent speakers. There is even a button that transfers the music from the loud speakers to my headset with just a press. It took me 10 years to get this bike and I absolutely LOVE IT. "Years ago I met a guy in Spain who had the ugliest and most unusual bike I had ever seen. He told me that if I wanted to travel the world a BMW was the most reliable bike to do it on.
