I wish to celebrate the extraordinary life of a gentleman with a genteel heart, Shri Keshava Parasaran, my athimbare, who has donned many hats in his illustrious life. Legal savant, Member of Parliament, religious scholar, sports and arts aficionado and above all a devoted husband and father.

A firm believer who stood up for our culture and constitution, he has taught us to stand by our conviction and laugh out our differences. An honest man who did not hesitate to defy the powerful governments he represented, his righteousness earned him the title “Pitamaha of Indian Bar Association”. But to me you shall always be my affectionate athimbare, whose presence in my life I have always treasured. Parasaran athimbare, you are an epitome of love, affection, knowledge and simplicity. The entire country is indebted to your extraordinary career in public service and wishes you birthday greetings on your 97th Birthday.

இந்தியாவில் சில காலம் வாழ்ந்த அமெரிக்கர் மாண்டி ஹாரீஸ். மய்யவாதம் எனும் எங்களது அரசியல் கருத்தாக்கத்தால் ஈர்க்கப்பட்டு அமெரிக்காவில் செயல்பட்டு வரும் மக்கள் நீதி மய்ய நண்பர்கள் அமைப்புடன் இணைந்து பல்வேறு நற்பணிகளில் தீவிரப் பங்களிப்பாற்றியவர். தனது 83வது வயதில் இன்று இயற்கை எய்தி விட்டார்.

பொருளாதாரத்தில் ஆழங்கால்பட்ட அறிஞர் அவர். இல்லத்தரசிகளுக்கு ஊதியம் என்கிற கருத்துருவாக்கத்தில் எனக்கு அறிவுப்பங்களிப்பாற்றியவர்.

மாண்டி ஹாரீஸை இழந்து வாடும் அவரது மனைவி சுகன்யா ஹாரீஸூக்கும் குடும்பத்தாருக்கும், நண்பர்களுக்கும் எனது ஆழ்ந்த இரங்கலைத் தெரிவித்துக்கொள்கிறேன்.

பல நூறு மனிதர்களைத் தனக்குள்ளிருந்து எடுத்து உலகத்துக்குத் தந்த ஒற்றை மனிதக் கலைமகன். நடிப்பாக அல்ல, வாழ்க்கையாகக் கலையை முன்வைத்தவர். உலகின் சிறந்த நடிகர்களுக்கு, தமிழ்நாட்டின் பதில் என்று சொல்லத் தக்கவர், மாபெரும் நடிப்புக் கலைஞர் சிவாஜி கணேசனின் பிறந்தநாள் இன்று. வாழ்த்துவது நமக்குப் பெருமை.
