People hated Jesus. If you are a Christian, you should expect to be hated too.
But people also followed Jesus words, and so you should also expect people to follow the teaching of Christ that you pass on.

This doesn’t mean you should speak without love and say things to provoke people.

God’s word has a message of condemnation as it points out sin. But this is not to punitively punish people. It is to state the truth of God’s good justice. Saying the truth is also in anticipation of sharing the good news of the gospel. That God offers salvation from punishment through Jesus Christ.

Christians should speak in love.
Telling people about something they are in danger of because you care for their eternal well being.

"If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. 20 Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also."
John 15:19-20

All sin is an offence against an eternal holy God, worthy of an eternal Hell. There may be degrees of sin in our human perspective but all sin is still sin in God’s eyes.

We can view homosexuality to be worse than hating sinful people. Religious people can think they are in the right to hate homosexuals because God hates it. But while God shows mercy to them while they are on this earth (Matthew 5:43-45), religious people often show no such mercy. God will bring justice to all sin but does not wish for anyone to perish in Hell (2 Peter 3:9).

If g**s only ever hear law (that they are sinners) and hatred from Christians, how can homosexuals possibly be motivated to repent? Yes, the truth of sin must be declared but it needs to be in love (Romans 7:7, 2 Corinthians 3:6).

Homosexuality is a sin. Unforgiveness is a sin. Both go against God. But both and all sin can be made right through Christ.

"For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."
Matthew 6:14-15

"You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous."
Matthew 5:43-45

Being a Christian is more about having a relationship with God, than obeying religious duties.

Your religious works will not save you, only faith in Jesus Christ will.

"know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified."
Galatians 2:16

"We love because he first loved us."
1 John 4:19

A continuation from the previous comic, going over a simple approach to battling sin.

"Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God."
2 Corinthians 7:1

"It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God;"
1 Thessalonians 4:3-5

"And whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple."
Luke 14:27

"For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it."
Matthew 16:25

“My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline,
and do not lose heart when he rebukes you,
because the Lord disciplines the one he loves,
and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.”
Hebrews 12:5-6

"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will."
Romans 12:2

"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
Romans 5:8

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
John 3:16

"For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy."
Hebrews 10:14

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."
1 John 1:9

"being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."
Philippians 1:6

"for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose."
Philippians 2:13

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast."
Ephesians 2:8-9

This is something of what I’ve dealt with in the past. Being tormented by the fact of being addicted to sin but wanting to live for God.

I couldn’t leave it at this one alone, so you will be happy to know there is a second part to this.

Ok, a lot of Bible verses for this one, I wanted to make sure I was being as Biblical as possible since I am writing something Christ says.
It seems I can't add all the Bible verses for this one so I'll only add some of them.

"Say to them, ‘As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live. Turn! Turn from your evil ways! Why will you die, people of Israel?’"
Ezk 33:11

"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
Rom 5:8

"I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by believing what you heard? Are you so foolish? After beginning by means of the Spirit, are you now trying to finish by means of the flesh?"
Gal 3:2-3

"Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."
James 1:4

"For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it."
Rom 7:19-20

"No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it."
1 Cor 10:13

"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit."
Ps 34:18

- Devil represents the Devil and False Christians.
- Kid represents Non-Christians.
- Christ represents Christ and Christians.

Sadly, some people hate Christianity, not because of Christ or His teachings, but because of a person, claiming to be a Christian, who acted in a non-Christian (sinful) way towards them.

Christians can sin, and cause hurt to people, but if they are really a Christian they will practice Christianity. That means, after sinning, they will repent of the sin and make things right towards the person they hurt. Sometimes a Christian may not realise they caused hurt, and in that case they may need to be lovingly informed.

People (who are really offspring of the devil) can disguise themselves as Christians and give Christianity a bad name with all the non-Christian things they do.
Non-Christians then become opposed against God; not because of anything God promotes but because of their bad experience with unchristian practices.

God says it is wrong to steal. If someone who claiming to be a follower of God, steals from you, are you going to get angry at God? Unfortunately, so many people do.

If you hate God because of something you rightly understand in the Bible, then your hate is valid and in alignment with your values. But don't hate God for something He Himself hates.

Your feelings of being hurt are valid and should be felt, but please try and see things clearly and not let your emotions cloud your judgement. Be righteously angry at the right things.

"…for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve."
2 Corinthians 11:14-15

(Jesus talking to the religious Pharisees)
"You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies."
John 8:44

(Paul talking to Jewish Christians who breaks God’s commands)
"…God’s name is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you."
Romans 2:24

Old people can look down on the young, and Young people can look down on the old, but both have glorious attributes.

The young have great physical strength that the old no longer have. And the old have more wisdom, to know what to do, that the young are yet to experience. Both have great value.

Currently I'm 35 years old, so I guess I'm still considered young. I do have various nagging health issues but I must admit, compared to older people, I do still have a lot of strength. I can jump, climb, run, carry heavy stuff, etc.

Though in 10 more years I might start loosing some of that I guess I would have learnt more about life and grown more in wisdom and life experience.

There are times where I jump at doing something and put lots of effort in, only to realise I didn't have to exert myself so much. If I just slowed down and got some old man wisdom, I'd have accomplished a lot more with less. But I guess those experiences then lead to me gaining that old man wisdom...

"The glory of the young is their strength; the gray hair of experience is the splendor of the old."
Proverbs 20:29 NLT

No matter what you have done in the past, If you are humble, and turn to God (turning away from yourself), God will show you favour.

In a humbled state you are open to consider things other than your own opinion.

He sees his previous way of life lead him to destruction. Now that he has come to a humbled state with no relationships and poor health, he turns to God.

Turning to God, he has more life (as he dies) than he ever did in good health.

God will have mercy on the unrighteous and wicked if they seek and turn to God.

I came up with this comic while going through some health struggles and so wanted to explore the various ways God works in sickness. It’s not fun when you feel like you are going to die but I am grateful for the reality check because one day I will.

It’s not common knowledge but I am actually bald. I don’t have cancer or male pattern baldness. It’s from alopecia that I’ve had since being a teenager. It started as a big bald patch that I could hide with longer hair but after having a child in 2021, it all fell out.

“But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.”
James 4:6

“It is better to go to a house of mourning than to go to a house of feasting, for death is the destiny of everyone; the living should take this to heart.
Ecclesiastes 7:2

“Seek the Lord while he may be found;
call on him while he is near.
Let the wicked forsake their ways
and the unrighteous their thoughts.
Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them,
and to our God, for he will freely pardon.”
Isaiah 55:6-7

If you think too highly of yourself you will bring destruction upon yourself.

This proud successful musician slowly ruins his life because of his pride, but even still is too proud to feel sorry for himself or anyone else. Finally a cancer diagnosis wakes him up to the reality of his demise. The little he had (pride in himself) is brought to nothing.

This comic is in 2 parts. It was going to be one but thought I’d split it so there is not too much in one.

I came up with this comic while going through some health struggles and so wanted to explore the various ways God works in sickness. It’s not fun when you feel like you are going to die but I am grateful for the reality check because one day I will.

“Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.”
Proverbs 16:18

I think Instagram is promoting my comics cause I keep getting hundreds of likes on my recent comics. I've had to delete the app to stop myself from getting too addicted from checking it all the time and seeing more likes and follows every few hours.
