⛈️Due to the pending weather forecast for tomorrow morning, April 27th, we have decided to cancel the Child Abuse Awareness Walk. There is a lot of preparation that goes into this event and we feel it’s best to postpone it to a later date if possible. 💙

WYC PTO’s 3rd annual Child Abuse Awareness Walk will be held on April 27th at the WYC high school! We are currently working on an extra surprise for this year’s event! As always, PTO makes nothing off these shirt sales, we sale for the price they cost us. Order forms are available and will be sent home with High School and Elementary students once we return to school. All shirt forms MUST BE PAID UPFRONT and are due back by April 5th. Let’s make this year bigger and better!!!

Today is the last day for WYC students to get candy grams and flower grams ordered for Valentine’s Day’s! These are avaible for High School and Elementary.

Valentine’s orders are due Monday, February 12th!

Sign ups for next Saturdays peewee games!

1st and 2nd grade Peewee basketball signups are due November 3rd. Your child DOES NOT have to be a WYC student to play. You can also email the WYC PTO page or come to the elementary office to pick up a form.

Thank you, WYC PTO, for purchasing the new TV for our basketball programs! This TV will be used to show the menu, among other things, for both high school and peewee basketball.

Please be aware that we will be conducting crisis management / campus security drills on both of our campuses tomorrow, Friday, April 14. Though we will only have a few pre-K students attending school, we want you to be aware that there will be emergency personnel, including law enforcement and emergency medical staff on our campuses working with faculty during this training event. Please note that this is ONLY a DRILL.

We want to let everyone know that a fire alarm went off at the Elementary School, and police and fire departments came to inspect the reason. Fortunately, there was no fire and no students or staff were ever in danger. Thank you to our Yell County Sheriff and Belleville Fire Departments for your prompt response to ensure the safety of our students and faculty!! ♥️

Western Yell County Elementary is looking for donations for our field day! This is a fun all day event for k-6! We will use the donations for a water slide, our other water events/dry events, and to make sure every kid gets a field day shirt no matter what! Every little bit helps! 🐾💦
