Happy National Puppy Day and hello from our Dolly. Dumped at a shelter by her person as “17 and needs to be put to sleep”, rescued by and adopted by us in November 2021. Nowhere near 17. Full of life and ♥️. Puppies come in all ages.

I was so worried this morning when our pup, Fig, didn’t seem to have an appetite. That’s so not like him. Then, about an hour later, he figured out how to tell me he just didn’t have an appetite for the 🎃 purée I’d plopped on top. 😂 OK, Fig, I get it.

Check that your pet's microchip is properly registered.
Here's why: Losing a pet is the last thing anyone wants to think about. But one of the first things you're going to have to think about if your pet goes missing is whether their microchip is registered and up to date or not. The worst time to think about this for the first time is when your pet is lost. Be prepared. Have your pet scanned at a vet office to confirm the microchip number. Take a photograph of the scanner so you can be certain of your pet's microchip ID number. Visit PetMicrochipLookUp.org to confirm the name of the company associated with your pet's chip. This is the company that will be called in the event that your pet is found and scanned for a microchip. Make sure the company has all of your current contact information and at least one backup contact in case you can't be reached.
