Wanted to give a quick shout out to your Palatka High School Soccer teams’ very own Devin Walker on being recognized as a rotary scholar! Congratulations Devin!

Join us at our upcoming club meeting as we celebrate the achievements of two outstanding scholar-athletes, Jenna Buckles and Devin Walker. Both seniors at Palatka Jr.-Sr. High School, Devin will be commended for his excellence in soccer, while Jenna will be recognized for her contributions to the volleyball team. Mark your calendars for Tuesday, Feb. 20 and come show your support for these talented individuals.

Week 7: Devin, you are a natural leader. I appreciate the effort that you give for me at every practice and every game. I can tell that you love the game. You are my third captain, I think that goes without saying. I will miss your hustle next season, and I can only hope to have a trooper like you in my future years as a coach. I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors in the game, and I’ll help you as much as you want me to. I respect your love for the game and your respect for me as a coach.

Week 8: Caleb Jenkins!!! I remember when I first met you Caleb, you were not confident at all in your ability. Very timid, scared to speak up and easily flustered. You are nothing like that now. You have grown up, you are one of my best defenders. The score doesn’t reflect how much good you do on the field. I keep saying that because I mean it. All you have to do is watch the film. I have complete confidence with you in the back, I hear you talking and you have blossomed into the player I envisioned in you at the beginning of our Keystone season. I am very excited to continue with you in my backline.

Week 4: DJ Holland! I appreciate your high work rate in games, you hit an absolute banger against Columbia. It’s all a mental thing with you, as with most of you. I admire the fact that you decided to let one rip and it turned out beautifully. Keep up the hard work

Week 5: D’Montay Barnes! I was very happy when you scored against FPC, for the very first time we were leading against a team this season because of you. Excellent finish, true striker’s instinct. Imagine how good you can be a year from now. Never give up!

Week 6: Noah Lotow! All season you’ve been making runs and having good chances, last night your hard work was rewarded! You had a goal and an assist, and I admire how supportive you are of your friends. Thats what I need from my team, you are an excellent example for those around you. We’ve had a very tough season and I respect your confidence in me. Thank you

Help me congratulate our player of the week for Week 3! Gage has been outstanding all season, with double digit saves almost each game. It is truly a shame we could not get a camera sooner to record some of the magnificent saves you have had so far. I hear nothing but praise for you Mr. White, you are doing a great job. I’m sure you will have a magnificent highlight reel by the end of the season. Congratulations!
