Tonight in ARCC 105 @ 7pm, SIGGRAPH will be hosting a portfolio advice night from upperclassmen, detailing some advice for the most common animation track disciplines (modeling, look dev, rigging/animation, lighting). This is a great opportunity to get some general portfolio advice along with some advice for your individual discipline before the Viz Industry Fair next week. Hope to see y'all there!!

Thank you all who participated in the Gigajam! Make sure to stay tuned in the SIGGRAPH's server for any future updates regarding the results and the GigaShow. For now, next Wednesday March 30th at 7pm on Zoom, Ben House, a procedural technical artist from Bluepoint games will be giving a talk! It is open to everyone so don't miss out and see you all then!

Howdy! GIGAJAM is here once again and registration is still open, but will close tonight at midnight!!

This event is hosted by TAMU ACM SIGGRAPH where individuals participate in a 36-hour creative competition based on a theme that is revealed at the start of the event, and all work is accepted as long as it has a digital aspect to it and falls into these categories: Still-Work, Time-Based, and Interactive.

The event will, once again, be virtual but will host an in-person launch party TOMORROW!! Sign-up and participate with your peers in a chill environment where you can get industry feedback/critique on your work!

This upcoming Wednesday, March 9th at 7:00pm, we will be holding a volumetric lighting in Renderman/Nuke workshop with Toby and Luke! So if you want to learn some tips and tricks on how volumetric lighting works, come check it out!
