Collection, identifying and acquiring information resources, including core and circulating collections materials in all formats to support the study and teaching of a broad range of Latin American subjects at the University of Texas.

We are thrilled to announce that Alison Eakle, screenwriting alum and Chief Content Officer for Shondaland, will return to The University of Texas at Austin next month to deliver the keynote to a crowd of thousands of students and their loved ones at the 2024 Moody College of Communication Graduation.
At Shondaland, the production company founded by Shonda Rhimes, Eakle oversees a slate of feature film and television projects for Netflix and ABC and is co-executive producer on such notable series as “Bridgerton,” “Inventing Anna” and “Queen Charlotte.”
She graduated from Moody College’s UT Rtf Austin in 2006 with a Master of Fine Arts in screenwriting.

San Antonio photographer Al Rendón captured the late music star Selena Quintanilla for the cover of her 1992 album “Entre a Mi Mundo.” Quintanilla’s fashion intertwined pop star glam with Mexican ranchero Western wear. Rendón partnered with Quintanilla throughout her career, and this album cover photo represents their shared collaborative spirit. As the photographer remembers: “She was active in every photo session, working with me to get exactly the shot we both wanted.”
