Trip2Orient is a community with travel experiences and opinions about Muslim-Friendly destinations, accommodations and restaurants, mostly in Arabic Countries and the Far East. One of the central questions is: "How suited is this destination or restaurant for fellow Muslims?"

Our visitors provide each other with travel experience for the relatively unknown Arabic and Far East parts of the world.

That the beautiful shrine of the Dome of the Rock dominates the skyline of Al-Quds city more than 1300 years now.
The Dome is gilded with gold made of hundred thousand dinars, that were melted for this purpose. And it was said that when the construction was finished, the gold had such a strong glitter that no eye could look straight at it.

Zeng He (ca. 1371 - ca. 1435) is perhaps the most famous admiral in Chinese history. His original name was Ma He (Ma: Chinese abbreviation for Mohammed). During his faithful service to the emperor he undertook major world tours with his fleets that was unmatched anywhere in the world. In one of his expeditions in ca. 1402 he had around 160 ships and 28,000 crew members. And this was just the beginning. The years after he led several mega expeditions. On the way, he performed the Hajj and played a key role in establishment and development of Muslim communities in many parts of Southeast Asia, including Indonesia, Malaysia and Philippines. Even in presence of new and opposing Chinees regime, Zeng He was able due to his respected status to build mosques and spend the rest of his life in and worship.

1. Friday is the day of mosque, but not for this quiet, adorable and ancient little mosque along the Silk Road in China.
What once served as a place of rest and worship for hundred thousands of exhausted passers has fulfilled its mission, and today only serves as a valuable reminder of our Islamic heritage!

These kind of small mosques were regularly visited by passing traders from across the Islamic world! So who knows whom of our ancestors ever stopped at this little mosque for a peaceful prayer.

Tokyo Camii (東京 ジ ャ ー ミ イ), also known as the Tokyo Mosque and Turkish Cultural Center, is the largest mosque in Japan. The mosque was founded in May 1938 by Tatar immigrants from Russia and rebuilt by the Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı from 1998 till 2000. The architect was Muharrem Hilmi Senalp and the ornaments are based on Ottoman religious architecture.
