We aspire to develop and promote on a local level in our country. Mumbai Girls Football Community was started because of one football passionate girl. I started my football journey at the age of 14 very unexpectedly when my coach saw me sprinting during my athletic practice sessions and asked me to join football. After that there was no looking back. I kept practicing and captained my team and brought laurels to the institute. This landed me at SAG ( Sports Authority of Gujarat) academy for which I had to leave my home for few years. During this journey I got alot of injuries which stopped me from playing temporarily but not further. I have number of national and state achievements as token of this journey and I continue to walk on this path.

I fell in love with this game just when I was in 4th grade and we were introduced to this game for the first time in my school. It felt heavenly when I touched the ball with my feet, the feeling of freedom, the feeling of actual happiness. We had an inter-house football selection for the football match and unfortunately, I couldn't make it to the team. I cried my eyes out and just on that day I realised how in love I am with this game. Since then, I decided that I wanted to become a footballer.
I've always wanted to play in a club but never got a chance. i always cried in front of my parents that i wanna play football and i wanna become a footballer. But my parents always denied it thinking that i won't be able to manage and i don't have any career. so after trying for years and years my dad had a bet with me to get fit and go for running every day without fail and he'll finally agree to my demand. I did it for years. and it finally worked! he agreed. but I never knew I'll be playing in such a great club with such great coaches. I joined FC Leytonstone on 5th September 2021. this club has improved me so much and I have finally did a comeback and I can play better than I ever thought. my teammates and coaches call me Leo Wankhede and this is a great feeling. now i play tournaments with my team. looking forward to making my family, coaches, teammates and myself proud and I'm gonna give it my all to achieve this beautiful dream of mine.

Football came to me as a game I would play in my society with friends as a kid, and it turned out to be a sport that I love and respect ineffably. I've been engaged in this sport for over 8 years now and have been a part of multiple tournaments, be it states or futsal, but it never feels enough.
More than a sport, football has a been a guide to live life to the fullest! I'll always be grateful for it.

Football is not just a sport for me; it's an emotion, an escape from reality, and something that holds a special place in my heart. My journey began in 6th grade when I first stepped onto the field and instantly fell in love with the game. From that moment, football became more than just a hobby—it became a source of inspiration, confidence, and a ray of light in the darkness.
In 11th grade, I had the opportunity to join KNFC, an exciting step forward in my football journey. Unfortunately, COVID-19 hit, and for two long years, the pandemic put a halt to it. However, that didn't stop me. It only fueled my determination to continue pursuing my passion, even in challenging times.
Finally, in college, I had the chance to showcase my abilities in various tournaments. It was an incredible experience, and I am proud to say that my hard work paid off. I won several trophies for my college, representing not only my team but also my dedication and love for the sport. But it didn't stop there. I decided to challenge stereotypes and break barriers by playing with boys. I wanted to prove that football knows no gender boundaries. Through perseverance, determination, and continuous improvement, I earned respect and showed others that girls can excel on the football field too. Whether I'm on the pitch or cheering from the sidelines, football has always been there, providing solace and igniting a fire within me.
My football journey is a testament to the power of passion, determination, and the pursuit of breaking stereotypes. It has shown me that no matter the circumstances, I can always find strength and purpose through the beautiful game. Football will forever hold a special place in my heart, reminding me of the joy and fulfillment it brings to my life.

Football has been and will always be an integral part of my life. My journey started more than 10 years ago, over the course of which I have played many tournaments at the district, state, and national level. The reason it continues to be a consuming passion is not just because of the thrill I get competing on the field, but also the community of talented, supportive, and inspiring people it has introduced me to.

When I was 7 years old, I started playing football with my family. Observing and feeling the solace and joy playing football brings me, I also decided to continue with my studies.
I can still clearly recall a time when I was feeling extremely sad due to certain circumstances, but just the thought of playing football instantly brought me back to reality. And at this point, I realized that playing football is something I do naturally and is a part of who I am.
Although there are many tournaments, the financial barrier makes things more difficult. I have examined the number of talented football players who have left the sport due to a lack of importance given to Football in India. I had similar problems with time management when I was at Cambridge School. The emphasis and pressure during my board years—grades 10, 11, and 12—were different. But, supported me in many ways.
I got to put my leadership skills into practice through this instead of just learning how to play as a team. I believe that being able to express myself while being who I am is a unique combination.
I participated in football tournaments for the Zilla Parishad and the Pune District Football Association (PDFA).

I have enjoyed football for as long as I can remember. My earliest memory of football was when I watched chelsea win the champions league final in 2012, I was around 8 years old then & the moment was truly unforgettable, I have not stopped loving that club & the sport since. My jersey number is 8, and play as a midfielder like Frank Lampard, who’s always been my favourite.
For me, football has been a big part of my life. Even if I wasn’t getting to play regularly due to academic commitments, I would play with a few friends & regularly watch matches or go for screenings. I played for school, then college, and finally joined F.C Leytonstone, a London-based football club in Powai. I am on my way to become a lawyer, and my schedule is really hectic, often spending 13-14 hours at internships. But when I get the time to play football, it almost fixes everything & drives away tiredness. I’m the happiest on turf with my teammates, training & joking around. We recently won a locally organised tournament & brought back a trophy so we are ecstatic and looking forward to more wins! It is truly the greatest sport in the world for a reason.

I fell in love with the competitiveness and fierceness of the game when I joined my sixth-grade sports camp. I remember being in awe after seeing the banana kick of my school football coach. I was groomed for the sport and eventually got selected for the school team.
I was brought to light by the competition after participating in the district and state-level tournaments. I remember scoring my first goal. With time and teamwork, along with guidance from my school coach, we secured various positions in different competitions. With these achievements, certain hardships were usually due to differences in opinions.
My professional journey was from sixth to twelfth grade, with me being selected for nationals twice(SGFI). I feel blessed to have experienced it.

Before starting football my main sport was badminton. I started playing football in school when i was in 6th grade. Initially I was the only girl from the whole school to start football so i had to play with the boys team. Later I started losing interest and thought this had no future for me and was about to quit when my coach supported me to play and said he'll give me exposure to play. Since then my love for football just kept growing. Being a girl at first my family didn't support me to play but my grandfather supported me and stood by me for every match and trails. He never gave up on me. Eventually i became the school team captain and played multiple tournaments and conquered many of them. I represented Mumbai at Maharastra Mini Football Association at Pune and came back winning the 1st place and even was the winner of the ALL INDIA TOURNAMENT in Goa . Playing football has taught me not to give up on my dream and continue to achieve them. When I'm on the field I'm very happy and nothing can compare to that felling. I'm grateful for this sport and for all the opportunities that have come along. "NEVER GIVE UP" is the quote that keeps me going.
