“The Nightmare Before Christmas” – Film with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra

Join other U-M Club of Milwaukee members attending an exciting performance of our own Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, performing the score alongside Tim Burton’s film “The Nightmare Before Christmas”:

Tim Burton’s frightfully spectacular 1993 stop-motion animated musical is a timeless treasure for all ages. This Halloween and Christmas mash-up follows the misguided Pumpkin King Jack Skellington as he schemes to take over Christmas with the help of his Halloween townsfolk. The full feature film plays on the big screen while the MSO performs Danny Elfman’s darkly charming soundtrack live.

Our club has pre-reserved a limited block of tickets, orchestra center at the stunning Bradley Symphony Center at the special group rate of only $30 per ticket! First-come first-served.

Those who are interested can walk just three blocks to the Miller Time Pub & Grill afterwards to discuss the show over drinks and/or dinner (pay-your-own-way).

Before the game, we're organizing an optional gathering at City Lights Brewing Company, starting at 5:00 PM. A complimentary shuttle service will be available to take you from the brewery to the baseball stadium. This is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy some pre-game festivities and catch up with your fellow Wolverines. Registration is not required to take the shuttle, which departs regularly starting up to two hours prior to game time. The shuttle will begin making return trips starting at the seventh inning.

May is University of Michigan Alumni Club Community Service Month! All Alumni Club chapters are being asked to help partake in a community service event and submit our impact (and fun photos) back to the association.

Our Milwaukee Chapter's service day is Sunday, May 21st, from 1:30-3:30 pm at Estabrook Park. We will be assisting Milwaukee's historical society in cleaning up the historic landmark Kilbourntown House.

Kilbourntown House was built in 1844 and moved to Estabrook Park in 1938. It is an excellent example of Greek Revival architecture and has excellent examples of period furniture and Decorative Arts. It will open in June to the public for the summer. Our volunteer work will help prepare Kilbourntown House for that opening. Sunday, May 21st, from 1:30-3:30, U of M volunteers will help freshen up the house and garden. The historical society will also provide volunteers with a brief history of the house.

Anybody interested in playing in Bradford's beach volley league on Wednesday evenings?
Leagues run from 6-8pm each Wednesday night during the season June 1st-August 29th. Matches are at 6pm, 6:40pm, and 7:20pm. Teams will play 2-3 matches per night depending on scheduling availability.
