Atypical Math

Hi! We are so excited to announce our new online teen intervention programs starting on February 19th! We have been working on these for over 2 years and we know that they show results and can improve learning gains for both on-level and below level students. Focused on bridging foundational gaps of understanding, each small group online class consists of short concise lessons that are reinforced with gamified practice to increase comprehension and retention, while our small group sizes allow for both the benefits of social learning and the individualization required for successful interventions. We know it can be hard to find supportive environments for older students that have fallen behind, and that is why our main goal is to provide an intervention that pairs older students together so that they can rapidly improve their math skills at a pace that reflects their age and maturity while maintaining an inclusive environment that accounts for each student’s unique learning needs. All classes start February 19th, are $40 per class and last 55 minutes each. We also hope to add Algebra 2 and HS Geometry soon (based on interest). Please reach out for more details. Thanks!

Teen Classes Available (ages 13+):

Fractions & Decimals (Mondays & Wednesdays at 12:00): Define, add, subtract, multiply & divide fractions and decimals; Solve equations using fractions & mixed numbers; Fraction Facts; Percentages; Decimals; Negative Numbers and More

Pre-Algebra (Mondays & Wednesdays at 1:00): Solve for x in Linear Equation; Solve for x in terms of y to plot lines on a graph; Ratios and proportions; Square Roots and Exponents; Slope of the Line; Linear Equations

Basic Geometry (Mondays & Wednesdays at 2:00): Understand lines (straight, parallel, etc.); Understand angles (obtuse, acute, etc.); Area of triangles and other polygons; Circles (pi, radius, etc.); Pythagorean Theorem

Algebra 1 (Mondays & Wednesdays at 3:00): Integers, Real Numbers, etc.; Solve problems with terms and exponents; Algebraic Equations, Square and Cube Roots; Binomials, Trinomials, etc.; Quadratic Equations; Functions

Pre-Teen Classes (ages 10+):
