Plants are givers of beauty, nourishment, shade and the oxygen that we humans rely on. The plant world sits in the south of the medicine wheel in the Sweet Medicine teachings. They give of their gifts whether or not anyone is there to appreciate them. Recently more and more research is discovering how plants are interconnected and communicate in ways we haven’t had the sensitivity to recognise. This time next week we'll be gathering at the beautiful venue near Wisemen's ferry for the annual Wise Women Gathering. This is one of my two favourite events of the year. The sisterhood gathers, connects, re-calibrates and leaves nourished and empowered for the year to come.

As the urgency of hormone-driven desire abates, we could see it as a loss or as an opportunity. It might give us space to explore more subtlety in our sensations and in our ways of connecting pleasurably with ourself and others. Heart-led eroticism may look very different to that which is genitally focused. Letting go of goals and enjoying the journey can bring us to another whole way of relating intimately.

In some traditions s*xuality is considered a catalytic energy, the centre of the circle, the engine that fuels all other aspects of our life. Age does not have to be a barrier to sourcing this force. Can you imagine yourself as a s*xual sorcerer? What might it look like to leave s*xual legacy?

As we expand our experience and understanding of s*x we have the possibility to increase our connection with the s*xiness in everything.
