Anyone can become a mindful eater and here are my 3 top tips to help grow your mindful eating practice.
🍎Sit down at mealtime and before your first bite take 3 deep centering breathes.
🥑allow at least 20 minutes to enjoy your meal, slowing down promotes better overall digestion
🥦only eat until you are about 80% full

Well today was one of those days!
Dinner was planned
studying and work was done
laundry done and folded
kids were snacking and content
It was a productive day!!
and then......... chaos strikes
my youngest comes running into my room crying and bleeding(picture after I bandaged it up so no one gets grossed out)
now if this would've occurred at a different point in my life, the rest of the day would've gone much differently but I have gained the tools and resiliency to realize sometimes you just have to pivot and it will be ok! Changes to our day doesn't always have to be a chaotic experience, dinner got made it wasn't what I planned but it was still quick and healthy, my other child still got to his extra curricular activity and the night still ended with everyone home and safe in their beds.
Motherhood is a journey you're going to have these days❤️

Here's a quick lunch idea! ready in 15 mins
-potato gnocchi
butter
garlic
mushroom
couple handfuls of salad greens
boil the gnocchi till floating
sautee butter garlic and Mushrooms in a pan then add gnocchi sautee till brown
add a few pinches of oregano & parsley
add a couple handfuls of spinach or salad greens sautee till wilted
and serve top with freshly grated parmesan or asiago
enjoy!!

Why do we hold onto relationships or things that no longer serve us or we have outgrown?
⇢Is it fear of change?
⇢fear of the unknown?
⇢is it even fear at all?
⇢have you just not realized the season is over yet?
⇢is it to painful?
and what if it is all of the above? can we switch these questions to statements?
☀️change is a good thing, when we learn to be comfortable feeling uncomfortable is when we grow.
☀️The unknown does not have to be feared but can be used as a moment to be curious and ask questions
Sometimes people or things are only with us for a season or a few seasons and that is ok.
To truly question the emotion, the feelings in the moment and sit with them is when your breakthrough can happen !

Labels are your new best friend and if your kids are not reading yet use pictures as the label ! This also holds your child accountable and teaches them vital life skills of responsibility and organization if they don't put it back properly the first time ask them to find where it goes and try again!
Keeping things organized and tidy is your first line of defense for keeping your sanity as a busy mama❤️.

My thought today was I feel as if I can move in a hundred different directions but not knowing where to start or where to focus? this card was so fitting and exactly what I needed this morning! It again reassures me that my answers are always found if I go within and stop searching for validation or answers from the outer world. anyone else ever have this feeling and struggle with trusting yourself???

I might have cried when I opened these proofs today❤️ It feels like just yesterday we were attending her Sk Graduation and now in a few months we will celebrating her Graduation and 18th Birthday. She will always be my babygirl though🤣

Today I'm celebrating this huge accomplishment!
I started my better living journey approx 7 or 8 years ago but quitting smoking for some reason was never on that list! with lots of inner work on myself i now understand why, it was a life coping mechanism that at that point in time i just wasn't ready to let go of! I thought it made me happy, I thought it gave me the stress relief I always needed and the biggest one it kept me in a social circle I thought it gave me a sense of belonging. Then 5 years ago at 1 month postpartum with my final child the realization hit

I was given the gift of good health even though i had not really nurtured it, now time to stop wasting it! Thru working on fixing my brain health and my nutrition I have been able to change so many things in my everyday life!

So I did something totally out of my comfort zone today and had to share my experience because I believe so many of us feel the same way, but when you're in it you think I am the only one who feels this way!!
In my course today on zoom in front of others I volunteered first to speak! it was to practice coaching in a way I had never had too before and I have to say it was nerve wracking, uncomfortable and caused all doubt in myself that I have experienced to come rushing back!! But guess what??? I got thru it.
I put my all into it and when the exercise finished it felt amazing because I had just validated to myself that I am totally ready for the next chapter in my life!!!
When we want something to change and we want to grow or achieve that dream we just need to jump all in and go for it, get comfortable with the uncomfortable😄😄
