Tomorrow is the first day of school here. This was my setup last night for open house. It was non stop parents and students! However, the forecast issued warning for 4”-8” of rain tomorrow. So far no closures. I would like to remind you that my classroom flooded twice over the summer and did some damage. I still haven’t gotten everything back into my desk and cabinets. I’m a bit apprehensive as to what I might come into tomorrow, or even worse if there is a closure what I might find on Friday. 🤞🏻⛈️

Christmas came early for me in my classroom! 12 new sewing machines, 2 ninja blenders, 2 hand mixers, a food processor, waffle maker and a deep fryer. Everything I requested I got! I needed to replace some old appliances from the 50s - 70s and I wanted enough sewing machines so the whole class can work on the same thing. This is really amazing!

I got one shot after the clouds moved! There are couple from inside the viewer I made, but a lot of cloud cover.

OK, I did some work! It’s hardly organized, but I got some clear bins, which really help when searching for fabric. I’m trying to get away from using cardboard boxes - I’m semi-rural and live in a 120 year old house, so you know there can sometimes be unwanted visitors. 😕

What is wrong with me! 😂 most everything here is fabric in boxes, shelves and just folded. Tons of scraps in boxes too! I pulled everything out of the closet this morning. Ugh! I don’t know what to do. Do you ever feel like this?

It has begun! I’m starting to collect seeds and other things for planting. I saw these and thought “why not!” Still have freezing over night and need to get the planters set up, so prolly won’t be able to plant for at least a couple more weeks.

I’m kind of a mess right now, but I am working! Trying to get out a YT update as well.

So, I didn’t get much sleep last night, which kinda screwed up my plans for today - I feel exhausted! I did force myself to work on some things today. I’ve been wanting to make one of these boxes for a while now. It came out a bit squatty, so I think I need to increase the height. I was just curious about the sewing and if it would be a good project for beginners. This is completely lined without exposed seams. I think it may work as a second project for a beginner? Unless exposed seams are okay.
