Katherine Pont is an Australian born London based designer and co-director of Swanfield Boutique. Her debut clothing label 'Mine' was stocked in boutiques across the globe, with fans such as Bat for Lashes, Au Revoir Simone and Lykke Li, and press from Nylon to Style Bubble. Her signature aesthetic has evolved with the launch of her eponymous label, for which Pont has created sleek silhouettes and
a classic, elegant collection. Pont has taken textured cotton offcuts with a cobalt print, breathing new life into fabrics, and creating limited edition bomber jackets and playsuits baring flashes of this bold signature print. With direct inspiration from the natural world, the silk screened cotton has an almost waxy finish. Having worked for technical sportswear and menswear brands, Pont enjoys merging a hint of outerwear, traditional menswear and minimalist fastenings with soft luxe fabrics and fine textured wools. By keeping production local and working outside the seasonal cycle of AW / SS, Pont releases capsule collections at the whim of what beautiful fabric is available to her, and the demands of the weather. Wishing to adopt a more sustainable approach, all fabrics are sourced locally, and garments manufactured in the UK. So styles are offered as limited edition, numbered and signed by the designer.
