Eden's Catacombs: Chapter 8
Paradox Island by Sleepii la Tyto
I know
From the last conversation we had,
And all the times that we've clashed,
No magic could patch the past...
Collapsed, In a pool of our photographs
Our paradise
Burned to ash
The shadows you're memory casts.
( In a meadow of evergreen,
Where bees always sing,
I hide and never seek...
Patiently counting sheep,
Fighting to fall asleep...)
You're like the light,
When the sun leaves the sky,
No longer by my side...
I knew
I had won the fight,
The victory was surely mine...
Now
At night,
I can only see you
When I close my eyes...
( In a meadow of evergreen,
I've watched as angels bleed.
Their wings, made of ragged sheets...
Bees sing somber melodies,
A hazy shade of dreams.)
Like all my hopes,
I now have to let you go.
The rose-covered roads
We use to stroll,
Has withered and begone erode.
The stars use to seem so close,
Now I can no longer see
(La vie en rose...)
