Come, Lord Jesus! Come! May this Advent be a time of deep renewal in my life, dear Lord. May it be a time in which I strive with all my heart to seek out Your gentle and profound voice. Give me the grace, dear Lord, to turn away from the many noises of the world that compete for my attention and to turn only to You and to all You wish to say. Come, Lord Jesus, come into my life more deeply during this Advent season. Jesus, I trust in You.

Today is Priesthood Sunday!

It is a day to reflect upon and affirm the central role of the priesthood in the life of the Church because without the priest, the Mass and the Sacraments could not be offered.

We pray and give thanks for all priests, especially Fr. Jeff and Fr. Danny who shepherd us at OLPH. We also pray for all men in formation for priesthood; and, for all those that are being called by God to say yes to priesthood.

Gracious God, our world changed with the 9/11 attacks. We have seen how easily buildings can fall and how quickly lives can end. As we remember 9/11, may it remind us that you are our only true security. Give us your strength to face the memory of this attack and the changes it made in our lives. Give us your compassion to help each other and recognize need around the world. Give us your hope as we face an uncertain future. Give us your peace. In your name we pray, Amen.
