Personal Essay Video Series: Pregnant at 48 In this video one writer reflects on how an unplanned pregnancy at almost 50 impacted her life.
Some of you may remember a piece I wrote for Shondaland about getting pregnant at 48. That piece happened because I had submitted a much longer version to them. They liked it but not the length so I rewrote it completely. The longer more literary version just won a small lit journal’s best non fiction contest for April award. So I wanted to share it here.
This was such a great lesson in how the same story can be presented in different ways and still be truthful each time.
