Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man (2002) was released in theaters 20 years ago today.
Are you old enough to have seen this movie in theaters? What are some of your memories?!
WE HAVE A TITLE!!
THIS JUST IN: Avatar (2009) will be re-released in theaters worldwide this September 23 in anticipation for the world premiere of Avatar 2 in December.

HAPPY SUPERMAN DAY!!
Here’s to Kal-El, The Last Son of Krypton, The Man of Tomorrow, The Man of Steel, The Big Blue Boy Scout, Clark Kent! The greatest superhero!
I can’t help but feel that Kenneth Branagh’s Thor (2011) was the pinnacle of the characterization of Thor in the MCU.
I really enjoy Thor in Infinity War, it’s a close second for me. Thor: The Dark World seems to be overly criticized. And Ragnarok just has never jived with me. Waititi’s humor felt excessive and often out of place.
What do you all think?
It’s the dawn of a new era at Warner Bros. High profile executives have already departed the company, new blood is taking over. New vision. New direction.
What do you most hope to see from this merger with Discovery?
The WarnerMedia/Discovery merger is now official.
“If you seek his monument, look around you.”
The release of the Snyder Cut is undoubtedly one of the most historic achievements in Hollywood, both by Zack Snyder and his fans. Just as Superman was given his proper story of rebirth and resurrection, so was Zack Snyder’s Justice League given its proper and rightful release to the world. Never before has a fan movement been as effective or successful as and I doubt we will see anything like it again. Superman rose from the dead, and whose to say Zack Snyder’s DCEU won’t do the same…?
“Is it really surprising that the most powerful man in the world should be a figure of controversy?”
One of the main themes of 'Batman v Superman' is that the world doesn’t understand Superman. Batman doesn’t understand Superman. So the world (and Batman) fear him. Because you always fear what you don’t understand. And for a movie that was so unceremoniously panned by critics, they ironically did not understand the movie, nor the themes. And just as Superman was rejected by the world in BvS, so was BvS rejected by its critics. Superman met his demise in ‘Batman v Superman' as did WB’s incredible original plans for the DC Extended Universe.
I love Superman. He’s always been the one superhero that resonated with me the most. Not because I saw myself in him, but because he was the superhero that I wanted to be. The one that struggled to find his place and his purpose in the world, and ultimately found it. The one that had seemingly unlimited power and abilities, but never wavered in using them to serve and to do good. The son of two fathers, the son of two worlds. Moses, come to liberate his people. Christ, come to save his sheep. Superman is the archetype of our greatest stories. And never was this more present than in Zack Snyder’s 'Man of Steel' (2013).
I’ve been seeing a lot of rumors circulating regarding the status of Henry Cavill’s Superman in the DCEU, and how Warner Bros. is planning on dropping his character completely. I cannot express how much I detest click-bait rumors, especially ones that come off as blatantly as stupid as this one. No, I do not put it passed WB to do something as idiotic as replacing Henry Cavill in favor of Supergirl. They’ve proven themselves to be a completely incompetent studio. But my gut tells me that we haven’t seen the last of Henry Cavill’s Superman.
