I've finally finished decorating these little fairy sculptures. So now I just need to dip them in transparent glaze and fire again. 🔥
I'm absolutely loving this Canadian version of the Great Pottery Throwdown
Now that they've had their first firing I'm finally able to decorate these figures.
My etsy shop update is now live. Catch a fairy bell while you can 🧚🏽♀️

Sunday pottery vibes on the horizon as I'm looking forward to another episode of 'RAKU'!!! on this evening.
So whilst I wait for it to begin I'm chilling out by doing some decorating on this new collection of fairy bells. They've already been bisque fired, so when I've finished painting (underglazing) them, they will be glazed and fired again. Then they'll be available in my shop update sometime in the next few days.
February/ March courses added to my website:
1 Wheel throwing Taster session
4 Week wheel throwing course
1 Handbuilding session.

I needed something to hold the legs of my little fairy bells so that they could be fully glazed and fired in my kiln.
You can get bead racks from pottery suppliers and I already have one but needed more space so I made these stands with some high temperature wire hooks. All my fingers are crossed that this works! 🤞🏽
Now that the Great Pottery Throwdown is back on our tv's I think l want to organise some wheel-throwing sessions!
When you realise that this time tomorrow you'll be watching a new episode of season 7

So here they all are Season 7 potters of The Great PotteryThrowdown, fresh faced and ready to experience the ride of their pottery lives.
I have watched all of the series from the beginning and still get giddy with the thought of a new season approaching. I made the loveiest group of friends on Season 5. So buckle up new potters, I'm sure you all had an amazing time in the throwdown pottery studio . However, for some of you this will probably be, in the words of Peter Pan, the beginning of an Awfully Big Adventure! And I hope you enjoy it just as much as we all did. .ceramics .thomas.pottery
