Fractaled Forest Creations
Handmade wood art. Best thing about my creations are 99% of my artwork is functional!!
Here’s a .223 I just finished, turned out nice.
Here’s a custom murder wood keyholder I just finished up. Small piece of Burrel in the upper corner.
It’s been a while since I’ve posted something, but I’ve been busy!
Have a Happy & Safe Thanksgiving everyone!
Hookless key holder. Maple borough with a little live edge!
Here’s a 4 person cribbage board, handmade out of local Myrtlewood. What are your thoughts 💭? Thanks
Just to let the ones that don’t know how dangerous this artwork can be!
Meet Bentley, our puppy/ new kid! We rescued him just kidding! He rescued me/us. He is an amazing animal! He fits right into the family. I’m thankful Armin kinda pushed (not really) me into getting one of their puppies about 6 months ago. Just wanted to introduce him to the Fractaled Forest Creations page and to say thanks to the Miller family for letting me adopt him!
I’m making a new clock out of Myrtlewood and agate’s. This is the first one I’ve done like this! Can’t wait to see the results!
Figured I would post this anyways. It was only in the store for a few minutes! It’s a music box, it amplifies the sound coming out of your phone. Great for the kitchen so your phone doesn’t get wet! Also great for other areas in the house.
Here’s a few things I’ve finished up recently. And a few things I’m still working on!
Sorry it’s been a while since I’ve posted, been busy with work and trying to come up and make new art pieces. Here’s a custom box cribbage board. All you need do is open the box and you have your cards and your pegs right there on the inside and when you’re not Playing it can be a nice art piece on your living room table. Of course it’s made out of Myrtlewood.
I think it’s ready to see some action! It’s headed to the store tomorrow!
Almost done with this cribbage board.
Before and after. This is a custom Myrtlewood and agate river knife board.
What do you guys think? Just trying something different with the resin.
Just got done making some new key holders & knife holders!
Here’s a little video of work pieces I’ve made with agates!
Finally happy to say I am finished with my backlit Myrtlewood agate display!!!!!!
Here’s a agate lamp made out of Myrtlewood. I’ve been working on for a while. Just need to make the feet and I’ll finally be done.
Almost finished with another one. Really enjoying working with resin & Myrtlewood! It just takes time and patience!
I’ve been busy. Working on new and old projects! Can’t wait till I get some finished to my standards and can post the final outcome!
Trying something different. This is going to be a custom Myrtlewood knife holder with a beach theme. Would love some feedback to see if I should make a few more? Thanks everyone!!!
I don’t make just art pieces most of the time. I try to make most of my artwork functional. But I had this piece of Myrtlewood that was calling for some attention. So I decided to make another art piece!
Finally decided to keep one for myself!
Made something a little different. A countertop Myrtlewood knife holder.
The Beginnings of Fractaled Forest Creations
Hi, my name is Rick Marsh, and I have lived in Bandon for 20 years. I have always enjoyed woodworking as a hobby.
At the beginning of summer in 2017, I was run over by a tractor and it crushed my legs. I was still recovering when Christmas came around and I had nothing to give out for gifts. I saw a piece of fractaled woodwork at my mother's and decided to try it. I gave all my “experimental” pieces out for gifts and everyone loved it and wanted more.
So it started. I started playing with different techniques and different wood, and thought of ways to make my pieces either practical or functional, with only a few pieces that could be considered just “art”.
Tables, clocks, chests, picture frames, coat racks, and wine holders. Then came my “magnet” series, with key holders and knife racks. Anything wooden that I could add my technique on, I did!
