Engaging Young People to Embrace Civility

Embrace Civility in the Digital Age is a program offered by Nancy Willard, M.S., J.D. Nancy is the author of the first book that was ever published on cyberbullying, Cyberbullying and Cyberthreats, published in 2007. At that time, Nancy realized that the “adults are in control” approach to bullying and other aspects of school climate would be ineffective.

We need to focus on how schools can better establish a positive school climate, engage students to foster positive relations, kindness, inclusion, and civility, and provide greater support for students who are at higher risk.

This page will provide information on the activities, products, and services of Embrace Civility in the Digital Age and also a vehicle to redistribute articles that appear in other locations that related to these three areas of focus.
