Seriously though, 12 years as “So-So Topic”. 12 years of shows, stories, songs, sweat! :) I really do hope I made you proud, whether you’ve been here all 12 years, or just found out about me yesterday.
I really wish this didn’t feel like a funeral, but to remove an identity to begin again is a fairly bittersweet happenstance.
Whatever happens next, I pray you’ll stick around for it, we’ve got more stories to do.

Dropped my first album 11 years ago, “Finally Confident”. Reflecting on some of the adventures today. I’m thankful for a solid group of weirdos who saw what I was going for. Yesterday was my last day on set for a movie by the guy who did Remember the Titans. That’s one of the craziest sentences I ever said out loud next to “Erykah Badu got us a log cabin.”
I got something cooking up for y’all .
I said I was gonna shoot two videos in a day, and we did just that. More soon. .
I asked the question “If the sky falls, how heavy do you think heaven would be?” Back in 2017. It popped back up in my notes. I asked the public if I should make it a visual piece. The responses were lowkey overwhelming. The only proper response on my end was to take action.
I started producing the instrumental last night, and shot the footage this afternoon. Im gonna record the full poem later on tonight. Thanks for the inspiration, family. 🥰 More soon.

We on set and in full effect, from make up to style of dress, dancing bending stretching flex! vocal warm ups - 🗣-mans was stressed 😅 Exciting time, no regrets. Cast and crew the greatest yet. First day flooded, clothes was wet, day 02 had to let um dry on set. Other than that, it’s been the best. Wonder what’ll happen next?
My first day on set for a movie is…TODAY.
I can’t say a lot about it. But…yeah, wow?

It’s official, I’m in the movie this MAY as rapper Chuck E.!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you to everyone who held me down during this beautifully chaotic time, I know y’all probably thought I was getting weird. But I had to pull back from music production to help write some parts of the film. Yup. I’m an actor/writer/consultant on this thang. 🤴🏾
This is the film I sought to have a good friend, , be the lead role in. James ascended a few weeks before this moment happened, and it sucks I can’t be his co-star. BUT. I’m still gonna play my lil side role and hold it down for Texas, for my family, and for my boy.
I apologize for taking so long with the shot. But we made it. I love you kid. Promise ima hold it down.
