A day filled with caffeine and competition!
We would like to congratulate the victors of the 31st National Veterinary Quiz Contest!

The 𝗗𝗲 𝗟𝗮 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘁𝗮 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 took the stage as the Overall Champions of the 31st National Veterinary Quiz Contest and winning a cash prize worth ₱30,000, scholarships from MyBoardPrep, and wonderful prizes from our sponsors.

Coming in close was the 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗟𝗼𝘀 𝗕𝗮𝗻̃𝗼𝘀 as the 1st runner up and 𝗖𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐋𝐮𝐳𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 as the 2nd runner up bagging a cash prize of ₱20,000 and ₱10,000, respectively as well as scholarships from MyBoardPrep and freebies from our sponsors.

The clash in the Individual category was fierce yet only three remained standing in the end. 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗧𝗮𝗻 from 𝗣𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 was the 2nd runner up while the 1st runner up belongs to 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗲 𝗥𝘂𝗯𝗶𝗼 from 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗟𝗼𝘀 𝗕𝗮𝗻̃𝗼𝘀. 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗼 𝗖𝗮𝗷𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗻 from 𝗗𝗲 𝗟𝗮 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘁𝗮 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 was deemed the 31st NVQC Individual Category Champion.

CLSU is 31st NVQC's 2nd runner up

Three 5th year Doctor of Veterinary Medicine students snatched the overall 2nd runner up spot in the 31st National Veterinary Quiz Contest held at University of the Philippines - Los Baños (UPLB) last March 18, 2024.

The Central Luzon State Universoty (CLSU) team is composed of Xyryl Lynx Doctor, Joshua Lawrence Palma, and John King Valdez, who finished as the 1st runner up in the team category.

After tallying all the scores in all rounds, the team of De La Salle Araneta University (DLSAU) emerged as this year’s overall champion, followed by the team of the UPLB who was declared as the overall 1st runner up.

The teams of the quiz contest participated in four rounds, consisting of three team rounds and one individual round.

They were coached and accompanied by Dr. Michael Deither Agdippa , College of Veterinary Science and Medicine faculty member, and June Celso Mendoza, Veterinary Student Government representative.

A total of 13 veterinary schools participated in the event.

NVQC is an annual event organized by the UPLB Venerable Knights Veterinarian.

A huge congratulations to SWU PHINMA College of Veterinary Medicine in the recent 31st National Veterinary Quiz Contest, held at the University of the Philippines Los Baños, Los Baños, Laguna.

The team SWU PHINMA consisted of Princess Jewel Piquero, John Kevin Baquir, and Robin Ruy Ortega. The team clinched the 6th place over-all (combined individual and team category) out of the 13 competing universities across the country that participated in the said competition.

We commend also the coaches; Dr. Gerry Joey Laurito II, Dr. Zan Perez, Dr. Salm Apduhan, and Dr. Rachel Po, who wholeheartedly mentored and supported our participants and to the rest of SWU PHINMA College of Veterinary Medicine faculty for the unconditional support!

Ladies and gentlemen, we are on the penultimate day of the wait for the 𝟑𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐕𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐳 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭! Veterinary students from across the country have come forth to showcase their knowledge and veterinary prowess as they compete for the crown of champions. 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐬𝐧𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐬 courtesy of Fresh Options Meatshop will be given out, as well as 𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦 to cool off from the heat of the competition until supplies last!
