*Happy Christmas! I hope you all have a wonderful day yesterday full of joy and blessings. For many of you it will be a work day because your job requires it. For others it is a work day because you may work with animals or crops and every day is a work day. But we rejoice because God loves us so much that he allowed his son to enter into humanity, to become one of us even though he is God, so that we could be saved. The kingdom he established is still rooted on this earth in us who believe and who carry on the mission that he gave us. Even though it will only reach its completion in the afterlife, it is evolving because we continue to love one another and work for justice in order to help "God's kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven." Take some time today to sit and ponder what this birth has meant in your life. If you have children, read the story of the birth of Jesus in Luke and in Matthew. Let them know the importance of the day; that it is not just a day of gifts and food, but the celebration of a life that will give them eternal life. Give thanks to God for all you have and let them give thanks for something that is important to them. Sing a Christmas carol or two, and if you have small children, let them sing "Happy Birthday" to Jesus. Unless we pass on the truth of Christmas, how are they to know?*

_It is natural for us, as human beings, to come up with plans, thoughts, and goals for the future. But we need to realize that God is the only one who truly knows what's best for us. When you have plans you would like to make, or actions you need to take about a particular decision, make sure that you go to God first. God's plans will always outlive any plan we come up with for ourselves._
