ADVERTISEMENT FOR ADMISSION INTO LASU FOUNDATION (JUPEB) PROGRAMME FOR 2018/2019 CALENDAR YEAR

1.0 PREAMBLE

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Lagos State University Foundation Programme which shall commence inAugust, 2018.

The Programme shall run for 12 Calendar months beginning from August, 2018 to July, 2019. It is an intensive programme to prepare exceptionally brilliant candidates for admission into the 200 Level Degree Programme offered by JUPEB AFFILIATED UNIVERSITIES

The Programme is located in the Lagos State University Foundation Programme Campus, ASCON Road, Topo, Badagry.

2.0 ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

(a) Five (5) Ordinary Level Credit Passes in relevant subjects, including English Language. For candidates who intend to study courses in Medicine/Dentistry/Nursing/Agric Science, Science Education, Social Sciences, Management Sciences and Engineering, Credit Pass in Mathematics is compulsory.

(b) Students who meet the admission requirements will be invited for a written qualifying examination.

(c) Successful candidates will be required to pay a non-refundable acceptance fee of Twenty-Five Thousand Naira only (=N=25,000.00).

3.0 CRITERIA FOR TRANSITING TO 200 LEVEL

The course allocated will be determined by the level of performance.

Students will sit for JUPEB examination at the end of course and will be able to transit to 200 Level into any of the JUPEB Affiliated Universities.

(a) Successful candidates that will be enrolled in the Degree Programmes at the 200 level must purchase the Direct Entry JAMB form.

(b) Students who failed may be allowed to repeat the Programme.

(c) On admission, if any Student voluntarily withdraws from the Programme, request for refund of School fee will NOT be entertained.

4.0 METHOD OF APPLICATION

4.1 ONLINE PAYMENT

Applicants are required to make the payment of Fifteen Thousand Naira (N15, 000.00) only, non-refundable fee via website: www.lasu.edu.ng/foundation/

5.0 CLOSING DATE

The closing date for the submission of application form is Eight (8) weeksfrom the date of this publication, Friday, 24th August, 2018.

6.0 DATE FOR THE QUALIFYING EXAMINATION

A qualifying examination for admission into the Programme holds onSaturday, 25th August, 2018,at the LASU Foundation Programme Location, Topo Road, Badagry, Lagos State.

7.0 COMMENCEMENT OF LECTURES

Lectures Start on Monday, 3rd September, 2018.

8.0 GENERAL INFORMATION

The Programme is non-residential. Candidates offered admission into the Programme will have syndicated rental of hostel accommodation together with transportation.

NOTE: At the end of the intensive Programme, Courses shall be allocated to successful Candidates on merit
