Nasa Assassin has been a big part of my life for the past umpteen years - I’d like to thank you all for the support, love and magic I’ve often felt on stage, backstage and out there with you all at the gigs. As long as I can remember anything I’ll never forget Saturday in The Limelight, thank you all so much ❤️

What a send off! What can we say except we are so genuinely touched by everyone who came out to bid us farewell on our final mission. The love in the room was unreal and made us so proud to be on stage for one last time.

There are so many people we wish to thank for making yesterday so special, to St Hellfire and The Bonnevilles, two bands that have shared our journey along the way and was only fitting to have them along for the last voyage, to James at the Distortion Project who gave NA their very first outing on the very same stage. To all the crew at the Limelight who could not have been more helpful and supportive. To Decky, Tracy and Catherine for keeping the wheels on the wagon and us out of trouble, but most of all to each and everyone of you who supported us along the way, who bought the tickets, the tees and cd’s and for giving us the real reason for doing it in the first place. There are so many people and bands we want to thank for all your help and support over the years but that alone would take another lifetime so we hope you know who you are.

Nasa Assassin are a band but more importantly, they are five friends that did what they did out of the love of playing together, and were always there for each other through the highs and lows of life. Although the music of NA is now a very fond memory, the friendship is and will always be strong.

Who knows what the next chapter will bring, but for now all we want to say is thank you for your support and encouragement over the years. On behalf of The Watcher, Aidy, Stevie, Jeff and Rab, we love you all!

Hurrah! Due to demand, by moving walls, removing the fixtures and fittings and bunging the man from the council a few quid, the powers that be have managed to release another batch of tickets. Time for one final lift off. The Mothership will be undertaking its final mission at Belfast’s Limelight 2 on Saturday 3 June 2023.

It had to be the Limelight as part of the Distortion Project as this was the very first gig NA played many moons ago. It’s all come full circle.

Delighted to have very special guests The Bonnevilles and St Hellfire along for the ride, bands we have shared many a stage with over the years and proud to call good friends.

*A MESSAGE FROM MISSION CONTROL*

Greetings fellow travellers of time and space. The flight path of Nasa Assassin has been one hell of a journey. Over the years as we attempted to boldly go where no man has gone before, we have met so many fabulous people and made so many good friends, with highlights too many to mention, however as with all good things, at some point it must come to an end.

It is with heavy heart that we must announce that the collective entity known as Nasa Assassin will be putting the Mothership into dry dock and declaring ‘Mission Accomplished’.

We are forever grateful to everyone who helped make Nasa Assassin what it was and is, to those that opened doors, gave tirelessly of their time, provided us with a stage to play on, offered support and hugs and patiently put up with our idiocy and foolish antics.

But most of all we want to thank all the space cadets down the front, those that bought tickets to shows, purchased merch, screamed and gyrated and ultimately made all this worthwhile and a joy to be part of.

We are hoping there will be one last mission to send NA off in style, at present we are just at the planning stage but we will keep you all posted.

However to paraphrase the 18th C chemist Antoine Lavoisier and his Law of Conservation of Mass, matter cannot be destroyed, it merely changes form. Things are bubbling in the lab and exciting times await.

But for now we just want to say a massive, massive thank you for making the Nasa Assassin voyage such a blast. Keep watching the skies!

***IMPORTANT NASA ASSASSIN MESSAGE FROM THE WATCHER***
After our set at Triciafest in The Diamond last night a young man was kind enough to express his enjoyment of our music and asked did we have any CDs. I said I’d get him one, however I’m the midst of the inevitable carnage backstage I forgot. I feel bad about this. The young man was wearing an Iron Maiden T-shirt as was the girl with him. If anybody knows who he is let me / us know and verily NA goodies will be forthcoming to him, thanks 🤓🤘🔥
