Keele University’s first free-from society; focusing on improving dietary choices on campus, raisi
As a society, we are passionate about helping to make free-from diets as accessible and easy for students as possible. Our main aim is to expand the variety of free-from produce on campus and provide support and a social network for students with specific dietary requirements. We hope to provide a diverse range of socials for members; varying from exploring free-from cafés, restaurants and shops i
n the local area, to free-from baking sessions. Additionally, members can keep up with recipes, recommendations and dietary educational material through our Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest pages. We are also looking at providing opt-in monthly free-from treat boxes in the near future, where products are specially selected and collated each month for our members to try. Free From Society will also gather information regarding free-from options available in shops and cafés on campus in order to create a guide which will make eating on campus with specific dietary requirements easier. We aim to collect members opinions in respect to accessibility of free-from produce on campus, and pass this information on further to improve current options available. You do not have to have a dietary requirement to join our society- we encourage anyone with a passion for food to join and attend our socials (which are basically just an excuse to eat good food)!
