Congratulations to the Tier II Mayhem on winning the B division of the AAAHL’s Friday Open League last night. They defeated the Ann Arbor Stars 3-0 and finished the regular season 10-2-2 before going 2-0 in the playoffs.

“T’was just before game time, and all through the rink,
The bags were all opened, to air out the stink.
The jerseys were hung in the lockers with care,
In hopes that at least like 8 guys would be there.
The Red-helmet-Army was the first to show,
Yes Wype, Wirg & Ringe were all ready to go.
Sean in his gear, he was set for the night,
He had just settled in with an ice-cold Blue Light.
Dan In the room, borrowed tape for his twig,
Also some sock tape, a beer and a cig.
Brosky walked in, ‘bout time he got here,
‘cause it’s that mother f*cker’s turn to bring beer.
Kyle; his hoodie, the cuffs were all bent,
No doubt were stretched out, by his hands of cement.
In the corner was Mes, who’s a bit of a loon,
always quoting the lines from Slapshot or Goon.
Still, better than Ryan, who you’d always see,
Going on about “One time, back in Jr B…”.
Joel was there too, beer can for a spitter,
You’d here him chirp back, while using the sh***er.
The door was kicked in, scaring all off their tushi’s.
‘Til Adam strolled in, screaming “YO WHAT’S UP PUSSIES?”.
Maxy showed last, Zam must’ve been out,
all-in-all tho, not a bad turnout.
Ref comes in and says, “What’s happenin’ bud?”
“Leagues running behind, you’re getting no flood”.
Chris shouted “We’re athletes, we need a fresh sheet”
If we don’t get a scrape, we’ll surely get beat.”
Stripes took a step forward, his anger was stirred,
“I’ve seen you guys play, you’ll be gassed by the third.
You’re skating’s atrocious, you can’t make a pass,
Whatever they score, you”ll probably just half”
Then Greg grabbed a stick and knocked the dude out,
They cancelled the game; suspended no doubt.
Zakk looked at the boys “no wives know so far,
We’ve still got 2 hours, so lets hit the bar!”

History & Information
The Motor City Mayhem hockey organization is an established Adult hockey club comprised of multiple members on several teams based out of southeast Michigan, an area also known as Hockeytown. It was all originally started by entrepreneurs Austin Mesler and Zakk Saam in the spring of 2009. After peaking at their hockey careers, from Junior A hockey to Rec leagues, both had the dream of creating and developing a hockey club where players could still continue to play competitive organized hockey in a team setting and have some fun in the process. After a year or so of planning and preparing with where they wanted to go with the project, the two united and came up with the name of the club that would symbolize their mission, the Motor City Mayhem. Having both lived in the suburbs of Detroit all their lives, it was a name that they both felt was fitting of their goal to create a recognizable brand in the area. The 1st inaugural team assembled skilled players from all over the heavily hockey-dense area to play roller hockey. Today, the MCM play year-round: Ice hockey in the Fall & Winter; Roller hockey in the Summer; and even a casual co-ed Softball season in the Spring. Great Players from all over the Metro-Detroit area are added every season to the prestigious Mayhem Nation, growing their popularity and recognition as being the best place for the "Beer League" Adult Hockey Experience. They have created a name for themselves around southeastern Michigan with a professional program and a winning tradition, upon having made the Mayhem crest widely recognized and known from MCM's success, rapid growth, and appearance in major tournaments around the United States and Canada.
MCM HOCKEY
MCM currently plays year-round, with three teams; two ice hockey squads and a roller hockey squad. The roller season starts mid July and ends early September. The ice season starts mid September and ends late April. In addition to league seasons, the Mayhem try to compete in 1-2 tournaments per year. They also occasionally partake in other scheduled activities such as Outings, Fundraisers, Sponsorship events or Team Party's. All participants of the Motor City Mayhem must be at least 18 years of age. Recruitment for all teams begin approximately 1 month before season start, with roster finalization finishing within 2 weeks. Training camp and practice commence during the final 2 weeks before each league season begins.
