BOOK SIGNING: THREE MINUTES WITH GOD

For those planning to attend the Christ Our Life conference this weekend, you’ll also have a chance to buy a personally signed copy of Monsignor Frank Bognanno’s daily devotional.

He will be at a table next to the Divine Treasures Inc booth, which is located next to the north doors on the main floor. He will sign books during the lunch and dinner breaks, which start approximately 12:30 PM and 5:40 PM.

Msgr. Frank serves as spiritual director of this conference.

All of the proceeds from Msgr. Frank Bognanno;s book, "Three Minutes with God" go to the Purify Project. To date, the water filter system in Tanzanian schools has resulted in a 50% reduction in children getting sick or dying from contaminated water, due to donations to this project over the years.

Here's the second of two interviews that Patty Crawford of Franciscan Media conducted with Msgr. Frank Bognanno regarding his book.

Msgr. Frank says he believes in divine providence. His oncologist invited Msgr. Frank to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro in 2012 as part of a cancer survivors' group (Above + Beyond Cancer), where Msgr. learned from the local bishop about the thousands of children who die annually in Tanzania, due to dirty, polluted water.

That led Msgr. Frank and other Des Moines leaders at Christ the King Parish, Des Moines to create the Purify Project. To date, 50 schools have received the water filters. Buying his book means saving lives, as the Purify Project now wants to expand to hospitals in that country.
