October 7th, 2023. Everything lately feels auspicious. Significant. Momentous. Each Hebrew date, each missile attack, each Tzav 8, each siren, each piece of news. Everything feels soaked in meaning. In some sort of deeper message we are meant to understand. It seems like no coincidence that we are commemorating Oct 7, 2023 during this month of Tefillah. When words fail us, we lean on prayer. On words that, at a time like this, we are so grateful were written for me so that we do not have to write anything. We wouldn’t be able to.
1,667 Siddurim. 1,667 souls.
Each life, an entire world.
As we approach Simchat Torah, join me as we fill five new Batei Knesset, each one being built in memory of fallen soldiers. Help us honor the legacy of each of the 1,667 kedoshim and fill the world with Tefillah.

“As the time goes by, it get’s harder and harder, not easier.”
“Imma, is this the last new school I’m going to have to start this year?”
“I just miss my home and the quiet atmosphere we used to have”
“We have no idea when we’ll be back home.”
These are real people. This could be you.

Help Single Mom Evacuees from the South ❤🇮🇱
La’Bayit is working on a Gift List/Registry project to help at-risk single moms from the South who were evacuated from their homes along with their small children.
These women, who are generally neglected by society in “normal times”, are in major crisis mode right now, and aren’t the type of people to understand how to gain access to all of the donations flowing into Israel.

What is La’Bayit?
It all started when Akiva proposed to Bracha! Friends and family around the world wanted to share in the simcha and asked how they could send wedding gifts to the new couple in Israel from afar.
It turned out that receiving gifts from loved ones abroad was quite a logistical headache. Sending gifts from America seemed crazy.
And, of course, Israeli websites in Hebrew were out of the question and there were no registries in Israel to be found. Why did it need to be so complicated?
Alas came the creation of La’Bayit!
Since our founding, over 1000 English-speaking couples in Israel have created wedding registries with La’Bayit.
We offer excellent customer service in English, fast & reliable delivery, thousands of products to choose from appliances with 220V to local Israeli artists & more!
🌾The Festival of Shavuot is coming! As we countdown (or rather up), we've thought of the perfect gifts to send that celebrate this meaningful holiday of our people becoming the Jewish Nation!
How do you celebrate Shavuot?
As we move on from the solemn day of Yom HaZikaron to the celebrations of Yom Ha’atzmaut, we wanted to take a minute to celebrate a few of our Israeli artists.
We are proud to be an Israeli-founded and operated business, aiding in building the homes of families that are setting the foundation of their marriages & families in this beautiful land, along with every life milestone in between.

Helping couples get KitchenAid Mixers since 2019 🤘🎁
One of the many awesome reasons we love La'Bayit! 🤩
If you ask me, the singing of Im Eshkachaych under the chuppah is probably the most meaningful part of a wedding. What a sensitive way to mark the beginning of a marriage- to acknowledge that even in our most happy moments, we leave space for struggle, for sadness and for longing. That life is complicated and that outside of what might feel like a perfect moment, there are those close to us or even parts within us that may be feeling pain.
In the days leading up to Tisha Baav, I wish for all of us that we succeed in building relationships filled with sensitivity, empathy and thoughtfulness and that we merit to see the rebuilding of the Bet Hamikdash speedily in our days!
Eliana & Naftali ❤
It doesn't get better than this gorgeous couple. It means the world when special people like Eliana & Naftali trust us for their wedding registry. Mazal tov on your recent wedding anniversary! We hope your beautiful gifts continue to create an atmosphere of love and growth in your home. To many more happy years!

Behind the scenes of running a business in Israel! 💼🇮🇱
Here are some things I’ve learned as a business owner working with (Israeli) suppliers and importers whose products we sell through La’Bayit!
👉So much is done over Whatsapp (WHYYY? But also I’m kind of getting used to it and sometimes it’s really nice how fast things can move as a result….?) Voicenotes are my worst enemy, though, because then I can never look back and find what I need.
👉 If I take myself seriously and act confident, other people will take me seriously and trust my confidence.
👉 That being said, confidence increases with knowledge and I’ve been able to be *actually* confident in my dealings with suppliers as I’ve gotten experience and learned more about how things work. It’s crazy to have to just go for it at the beginning without knowing anything.
👉 Working with a supplier who is kind and nice basically matters more than almost everything. When selling physical items that need to be shipped, lots of scenarios come up (especially in Corona, yemach shemo), and things need to be sorted out and fixed without anyone blaming anyone for no reason, and with coming up with creative solutions. Non-rosh gadol people are really annoying to work with, to put it plainly. Rosh-gadol people are a pleasure.
👉 On the same note, I find that when I am kind and nice it goes so much farther than being “aggressive Israeli”. I find that people are more willing to לבוא לקראתי (and thus our customers) when they like me! (I mean that’s totally human nature, this isn’t a big revelation but I feel like people might have thought aggressiveness is more effective?)
👉 There’s a lot of BSing- I’m going to be honest and say that with the dozens of suppliers we’ve worked with (some who have stayed on and some who we’ve moved away from) there’s been a lot of made up things. I don’t even know how to explain it or to give an example, but it’s there. That’s when you have to stand your ground and not let them get away with it.
👉 Nagging is a big thing here- Is that a thing in America? So many of our suppliers say “If I don’t answer, just bother me until I answer.” No! Just answer me like a normal business-person. I literally cannot count the times this has been said to me. And I know it’s not just me because I know other people who work with these Sellers. (I checked because it was so shocking).
👉 It’s normal to talk about your personal life. Case in point: I got invited to one of our appliance supplier’s son’s Bar Mitzvahs (I happened to not be available that night but it was really cute and touching).
All in all, it's super fun and super intense and has its pros and cons. I also have no clue how it works anywhere else! Just thought it might be interesting to share some insights! Love you, Israel!
The pain is real 😬
Raise your hand if you had this at your wedding! 👋
