This Has Got To Be The Best Business EVER For Boomers!
Don’t look now— but we Baby Boomers aren’t kids anymore. We’re now the Dads and Grandpas (and Moms and Grandmas) that today’s Gen-Y kids roll their eyes at. They think we don’t know how to use a computer or an iPad. And we’re probably the last people anyone under 30 thinks would start a business.
Well, I have an announcement: we’re not dead yet! Boomers (born between 1946-1964) have been starting businesses at rates like never before. In fact, every one of the past 15 years, Boomers have had a higher rate of entrepreneurial activity than Gen-Y’ers.
There are a number of reasons for this, but my own non-scientific favorites are:
- Boomers come from a self-reliant generation that’s not afraid of hard work
- Boomers have a lifetime of experience they want to apply in their own businesses
- 50 (even 60!) is the new 30!
The great news is, this has to be the best time ever to start a business. Because the internet has made the whole world our marketplace.
The business models I like best for Boomers these days all are internet-based. This means we can run our businesses from our laptops from anywhere in the world.
With that said, I want to introduce my friend Fred. He’s created an amazing business using the power of e-commerce.
Now, Fred is, admittedly NOT a Boomer. He’s young enough to be one of our kids or grandkids.
But he’s built a simple 5-Step business that happens 100% online, selling products all over the world that:
- He never sees or touches
- He needs no warehouse to store
- People already want to buy
Fred learned about this business from a friend when he was only 20 and doing menial work in a restaurant. Once he applied himself, he was able to turn it into a multi-million dollar business using just a laptop and $100 seed money.
And now he teaches other people to do this as well. Many of his students are - you guessed it - Boomers!
That’s because this business is perfect for:
- Retirees who aren’t content occupying the rocking chair or the golf course.
- People who have given years to corporations, who now want to enjoy their families and still make great money.
- Folks who put their passions on hold and now want time to pursue them.
Boomers love this business. Even those of us who — OK, I’ll admit it — AREN’T the best with technology.
Because even though it all takes place online, the business actually requires very little technical know-how. And Fred walks his students through it all step-by-step.
