Jazz at SPC
St. Petersburg College hosts an annual 3-day jazz festival as well as concerts and concerts throughout the year.

Finnish pianist/composer Joonas Haavisto will be giving a free workshop & concert at St. Petersburg College. It's elegant jazz music for solo piano inspired by Bach.
The SPC Jazz Band meets on Tuesdays from 11:30 - 1:30 PM starting August 13. The band is a nice mix of young players and seasoned musicians. We have two performances scheduled for the fall.

What we are
The jazz program at St. Petersburg College was reinstated in 1992 by then adjunct faculty member David Manson. Years before then, it was directed by area jazz legend Al Downing, but was dissolved in the late 1980s.
