Our sympathies to Dr Jeremy Bangs' family and friends. He was such a gracious host at his museum in Leiden to our tour groups and we've all learned so much from him. So thankful that he so willingly shared his knowledge with us all through his books, talks, and tours. He will be so missed.
Harwich (UK) is on our first 2 Mayflower tours this year and I thought you might like to see the Illuminate festivities that happened today. Harwich is very much looking forward to welcoming our groups, who will be able to go inside Christopher Jones' home, Captain of the Mayflower.
4 years ago today, Tom Bartlett (pictured center) took me on a research trip to Fenstanton and Henlow in preparation for the Howland-Tilly Anniversary Tour, now taking place July 7-17, 2022. We still have a few spots left!
The village of Fenstanton is on our Howland-Tilley Tour, as it's where John Howland's parents are buried. Today it's got a new claim to fame!

Happy Indigenous People's Day - especially to our Wampanoag friends. We honor their culture and their heritage and we encourage everyone to go to Plimoth Plantation to understand more of their story.
We're looking forward to taking many of you to Europe in 2022. We've got waiting lists for 2 tours and there's just a few spots left on the Howland-Tilley 400th Anniversary Tour. We're starting work on our 2023 tours, so let us know if you'd like to be notified.

A free virtual event from our friend and tour host Lisa Pennington. This will be an excellent event!
Join us on August 19 at 6:30 pm EST for the next in our FREE Virtual Lecture Series: 400 Years on Leyden Street.
Join GSMD Counsellor General Lisa Pennington as she traces the history of Plymouth, Massachusetts through the story of one lot on Leyden Street. Located in downtown Plymouth, what’s known today as Leyden Street runs along where the Pilgrims built their first street and houses 400 years ago. Learn more about its occupants throughout the centuries, and join Lisa as she discusses the history, archeology, and genealogy of one particular lot on this historic street.
Lisa Pennington, Esq. is the Counsellor General of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants, and holds a BA and JD from the University of Texas. She is a speaker and writer about historic topics.
There's no need to register; the link to the lecture will be posted on Facebook and the GSMD website: https://www.themayflowersociety.org/2016-04-07-19-40-40/lectures
Please plan to join us, and enjoy learning more about Mayflower Pilgrim and genealogy topics from the comfort of your home.
