Finally, after almost three years of development, immense emotional investment, and miraculously recovering from an illness that struck a week out from opening, the premiere of this wonderful show is on at tomorrow, as well as two more shows this Friday and Sunday. And then next week, we travel to .melbourne for three more shows on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday!!!
It'll be stunning. It'll be opulent. It'll be messy. It'll be q***r as hell!!!

She’s completely confused and flustered, I'm somehow managing to straddle both boxes simultaneously, she realises in that moment that she just used the words straddled and boxes in the same sentence, that doesn’t help at all, and her whole world comes crashing down in front of her.

“Gather round children, I’ll tell you a tale... ”
When Margot was a young, closeted trans girl, she loved going to bed with a good story. Now she’s grown up, and she’s telling them instead.
Step into her fever dream; a world of opulence, blood feuds, bisexual women, live original music, whiskey sours, Josef Stalin, and the 2005 Disney film ‘Chicken Little’.
Just remember, the things that might help her get to sleep are not guaranteed to work for everyone.
You’re invited for what will be a very funny, occasionally upsetting journey cm nightmare into the stories of five trans women, as they are forced to reckon with the ultimate questions – am I a good person, and what do I do when I am inevitably disappointed by the answer.
Part twisted bedtime story, part q***r theatre, part stand-up comedy, part onstage multimedia exhibition, part mixology masterclass – this will be the most fun you can have at stand-up comedy while still coming away asking whether or not it was actually stand-up comedy.
‘Lies We Tell Ourselves to Sleep at Night’ is the latest solo show from 2022 RAW Comedy NSW State Finalist Margot Rosa.
