In 1963, inventors George and Charlotte Blonsky patented a design for a spinning bed to help women give birth with ‘considerable propelling force’.
One flow of
Energy and breath
Connects the full
Depth and breadth
Of consciousness.
There is nowhere to
Go but here, no time
But now, no why or
How or maybe...just
This knowing, simple
And complete, that I
Am already what I
Thought I had to seek.
Donna Faulds ~ I am already ✨️
Ready? Set? Stop!
I have been pinching myself recently, topping myself up with private sling sessions with the awesome , a beautiful retreat day with the equally beautiful .sanson, before sharing a full day of workshops myself at on Sunday 🧡✨️
And one thing that has really struck me through these experiences, when asked the question "what next?" I very clearly heard "this". Thinking ahead, planning, prepping is all awesome. But sometimes, just pausing and focusing on right now is exactly what's needed.
I am fortunate to be in a stage in life that I wouldn't have dreamed possible a few years ago. So how about I exist in it for a bit? Appreciate it? Play with being present?
Before turning my attention to new seeds of intention for the future and exciting new projects when the time is right ✨️
Your diary might be fast filling up, and that sense of urgency that can accompany summer energy may be creeping in. But what is the next thing was just this? Right here, right now?
In this week's mat based and adult aerial classes, we are playing with fascial manoeuvers, weaving together samana, deep front line fascia, and breathwork to support this too 🧡

Today's class reading 🧡✨️
Heaven on Earth ~ Don Miguel Riaz
I want you to forget everything you have learned your whole life. This is the beginning of a new understanding, a new dream.
The dream you are living is your creation. It is your perception of reality that you can change at any time. You have the power to create hell, and you have the power to create heaven. Why not dream a different dream? Why not use your mind, your imagination, and your emotions to dream heaven?
Just use your imagination and a tremendous thing will happen. Imagine that you have the ability to see the world with different eyes, whenever you choose. Each time you open your eyes, you see the world around you in a different way.
Close your eyes now, and then open them and look outside.
What you will see is love coming out of the trees, love coming out of the sky, love coming out of the light. You will perceive love from everything around you. This is the state of bliss.
Our 4th Annual Fundraiser is on Summer Solstice this year 🧡

Another day, another reminder (to myself too) to breathe ✨️
In our always on, always plugged in times, the pressure can build. Pulled in 100 different directions, brain foggy, feeling like you've forgotten something but you can quite remember what.
It is amazing how much time we have when we unplug a bit. Go analogue.
When I'm working I listen to vinyl to help me measure time blocks rather than my phone. The ritual of putting it on to play, and leaving it on, not skipping around to the next song.
And I put my phone in a phone prison. I know! I read Stolen Focus a few years ago now and think it is time for me to re-read it. So many wake up calls in 1 book.
So if you are feeling the pressure today, try less, not more 🧡 Take a walk without the tech (raincoat probably needed if you're in my neck of the woods), find an analogue activity- book reading, tea sipping, w**d digging, side wiping, poem absorbing, song soaking, doodle making, cake baking, sock pairing, candle lighting, honey stirring.
Even for the time that that moment takes ✨️🧡

💫May you (still) be well 💫~ the email that you didn't get, meet the experts, and your new favourite recipe! Retreat days, aerial workshops, and monthly specials.
Let's make a start shall we?
Mind-full? Stop. Take a breath.
As the 1st sutra says, "and NOW, the practice of yoga begins" - whatever has been buzzing around, taking our energy. It starts now.

Loving my aerial journey 💃 Before and during both my pregnancies, I loved my kettlebells - being slightly hypermobile, strength is so important to balance out all the bendiness, and even more so now I'm in my 40s.
Aerial play is another way to support strength, alongside challenging my fear of heights and my ideas of what I can't do, building my proprioception (again something that is affected by hypermobility), and playing 💃 Aerial yoga is a lovely practice where you can explore the familiar and traditional, whilst giving your body very different feedback and focus, while sling, hoop and (for the first time last night, silks), bring more flips, tricks and dance and circus based to it.
On the 1st Sunday of the month, I offer workshops at Grace & Gravity - coming up we have
✨️Beginners Aerial Yoga
✨️Restorative Aerial Yoga and Nidra
✨️Family Aerial
www.graceandgravity.studio under Events
And weekly, alongside other awesome teachers, I offer Aerial Yoga

And private group and individual sessions, and parties too ✨️
I'd love to see you soon 🧡

Can't wait for more riding (and yoga) adventures coming soon as we work behind the scenes on bike and yoga adventures for you in the Pyrenees 👀

Wallingford BabyBar are a brilliant local baby feeding charity. This event is to help share awareness for new families 🧡
I have shared this with my pregnancy and postnatal folks, but popping on here to spread the word too 👌🧡
Join us at BabyBar - Best Starts
Get off to the best feeding start with Wallingford BabyBar, your local infant feeding charity.
When: 22nd May 7.15 - 9pm
Where: The Ridgeway Community Church
£5 a ticket suggested donation, which includes a cuppa and cake
Calling all parents-to-be (or anyone in need of a refresher!) Come and get the answers to your questions, find out about the feeding fundamentals and chat over your options, discover the best resources and local support to help your feeding journey flourish.
We’ll be talking feeding choices - breastfeeding, bottlefeeding plus everything inbetween. We’ll chat about how to get off to the best start on the lead up to and right after birth, we’ll have top tips to feed your baby, your way, and will prepare you with what to expect in the early days. All our support is evidence based and delivered by trained specialists.
With some infamous BabyBar cake and a cuppa to keep us going we’ll then split into smaller groups with a trained peer supporter to discuss and answer your questions.
We’ll come back together to explain a bit more about what we do and also give you the inside scoop on what support is available both online and locally.
Lastly we’ll arrange a whatsapp group to connect with other local families - get to know others who will be on the same journey as you.
This evening of support will equip you with key information, give you confidence and provide a great opportunity to meet others. Get off to the best start with Wallingford BabyBar.
Every month, on top of regular classes, there are opportunities to explore deeper into these practices.
Monthly nidra circles ~ 1st Sunday 1st Thursday
We meet in the round to delve into the realms of yoga nidra - a guided meditation practise that sends the brainwaves into the state between waking and sleeping, allowing us to explore the subconscious, set intentions, and deeply relax ✨️
Monthly Tipi Yoga + Brunch ~ 2nd Sunday of the month
We meet under the twinkling canopy of the Tipi to move, breathe, rest, before sharing the most delicious spread of nourishing delights prepared by the inimitable www.estherabreyyoga.com/tipi-yoga-brunch
Monthly aerial love ~ 1st Sunday of the month
We explore aerial yoga with a regular open class, and workshop fun where we can
✨️Beginner's: explore your very first aerial yoga experience or building confidence before joining our regular classes
✨️Restorative aerial where we float just above the ground, resting deeply into the support before exploring nidra meditation and sound journey cocooned in your fabric
✨️Family: at the other end of the spectrum is our ever popular family aerial where you can play, flip, spin, teaming up with your little ones as you explore the slings together.
Nurture & Nourish are my seasonal day retreats at and I am delighted to be teaming up with the brilliant for the Summer session, and for Autumn 🧡
More to come on those soon and hop on over to www.estherabreyyoga.com/nurture-and-nourish-retreat to save your space 🧡
I'd love to see you at a session soon ✨️
Many of you will have heard me say that yoga is like a conversation- an opportunity to check in and listen to what is happening in your body and mind. And actually listen to that.
Yesterday, I had an intentionally quiet day - big old 9km yomp through the woods and fields, and not trying to fill every moment. I have noticed that this is a pattern of mine - seeing a gap and needing to plug it with something productive. So this weekend is quieter, and I am listening.
Are you able to build in a bit of space to listen today? To put down the phone and step away from the distractions, and just listen for a bit? 🧡 There's a whole lot of wisdom right there.
Coming back to ahimsa ~ again ~
And this is why it's a practice right? Times and circumstances change, and sometimes we revisit these ideas as a practice, not as something we have ticked off ✨️
The yamas in yogic philosophy are qualities that we would explore before we even get on the mat. And the very first one is ahimsa - kindness - non violence - non hate - love.
In this world this can be really tough. So much negativity and heartache, and social conditioning.
I have had a few conversations over the past weeks as we've explored this in classes and retreats about how we often translate this into having to be "nice".
But niceness stems from needing to please the other person. From external needs rather than internal, often bypassing our own needs, signals, truths.
Kindness comes from a deeper seated internal need that is being met, and naturally flows out to others from there. From that place of strength and integrity.
Even from a physical perspective, we open our heart/shoulders and chest best when we use strength in the back and along the muscles running along the spine and shoulders. Space in the heart through strength in the back.
I repeat this today as I am circling back round to it again myself. The inner critic can be loud sometimes, and so today I am choosing to be kind by:
✨️ nourishing and choosing the food that will help me to feel good. I can end up choosing food that ends up in energy crashes and then wonder why I don't feel so good 😁🤔
✨️ moving my body
✨️ getting away from the screen and out in nature - gardening and a walk in the local bluebell woods
✨️ naming my inner critic and having more of a conversation- not letting their chat become a soliloquy but also taking the time to recognise and not ignore either- I find journalling helps with this too
Onwards 🧡✨️
What would kindness look like to you today?
Lesser spotted yogi in her natural habitat.
Fallen mossy trees are much harder to balance on than you'd imagine.
📸 Reluctant hubster
Restorative Aerial Yoga with nidra and sound journey was so special to share on Sunday 🧡 Looking forward to getting the next one booked in ✨️
✨️New Moon vibes are out in force today ✨️
Monday sees the next new moon and I can feel the pull of the introspection, quiet, stillness.

9.30am Slow Flow
12.30pm Aerial Workshop - this month's is Restorative Aerial Yoga and Nidra
6pm Monthly nidra (and online link in bio)
Next Sunday 14th April ~ the next instalment of our seasonal Nurture & Nourish Day retreat at . Last spaces remaining to join for a day of yoga, breathwork, intention setting for the new season, mindful creativity, and guided relaxation 🧡
As we have explored together at our classes, so hum - I. Am. That. ✨️🌑✨️
This Wednesday saw Spring Equinox here in the northern hemisphere and it has been feeling spring like- complete with sunshine and hailstones 🎢
There can be a sense of urgency as we move towards longer light, but this is still the time in-between- nature is peeping out but not in the full bloom of mid Spring or Summer.
On the mat we've been exploring those spaces in-between, balance, and seeing if we can notice that sense of speeding up, choosing to explore even, mindful movement.
We can explore this idea through the breath too - box breathing is a great way to get curious about where our instincts lie -
✨️find an even breath in and out, visualise drawing 2 sides of a box as you inhale and exhale,
✨️and then add an even hold at the end of the in-breath,
✨️and the end of the out-breath, drawing the other 2 sides of the box.
Note that if pregnant, stick with the even breath in and out, no breath holds 👌
This practice helps
✅️with mental clarity,
✅️regulates our nervous system,
✅️and encourages mindful awareness of our responses.
