This Ain’t Berlin

We’ve been having some time out from parties for one reason or another but we’re still just as committed as ever in bringing the sounds of the underground to Birmingham.

Our aim has always been to showcase a very unique sound from Germany and different sounds from around the world.

This Ain’t Berlin is most definitely back, we know it’s not going to be easy but we know once your feel those Bassline’s and the energy our artists bring you’ll lose yourself in the music.

| DJ / Producer based in Berlin.

Mike is founder of record label Criminal Bassline.

He started to DJ Hip-Hop/Soul vinyls at the age of 15, writing rap lyrics and slowly starting to produce beats, but around this time, due to circumstances, Mike actually ended up selling all his music gear, in the pursuit of other things.

However after a long time in California/USA in 2011, he began to DJ again and created a house-music party in South Germany and in 2012, moved to Berlin to dig deeper into the electronic music scene. Alongside Djing, Mike worked as a music editor for a Berlin based music-magazine and started his own music platform - 'www.criminalbassline.com', at the end of 2013.

His first release came out in March 2017 on Bar 25 Music as part of the Bo**el Des Arts Compilation, where Mike also delivered the featured mix. Mike released music on a variety of labels including Get Physical, Heinz Music, Criminal Bassline and Bar 25 Music.
He regularly plays in the techno club-scene of Berlin (Watergate, Kater Blau, Sisyphos, Salon Zur Wilden Renate and more) with gigs spanning Germany and Europe, South America, USA & Russia.

Mike Book is known for his bassline focused, deep with attitude, soul injected DJ-Sets. His musical tastes range from Deep Tech House to Deep Underground Techno.
