This is my story in a nutshell

"CollectionsbyTracy" is a variety of handcrafted jewelry. I am a bit of a wild child with a free spirit, and gypsy soul. Most of the jewelry I make can be worn for everyday wear. I have been creating hand-crafted jewelry for many years. The first piece of jewelry I remember making is with my mom probably in the late 70's. It was a necklace that had my name spelled out on each bead. The cording was so fragile and tiny that it took every bit of my concentration to make it. I still have that necklace and memory which I hold very dear to my heart. Creativity and artistic skills run in my family. My mother is very creative and thrifty while my father is a musician. Making things have been a way for me to express myself. I learned early on its a gift that I have been given, and I want to share it with everyone.

Many things can inspire me from people to nature, animals, and the environment. Some of my favorite materials to work with are metal, glass, and natural stones. I use many different types of stones, beads and embellishments too enhance a piece of jewelry. Some are nestled in a bezel cup or wire-wrapped which gives each piece of jewelry its unique character. Most of my pieces are created by using the forging and soldering technique.

The best part of designing and creating jewelry is the excitement of hearing or seeing the expression on a persons face when they get it. I love to see the person wearing the piece of jewelry that was designed for them without even knowing it.
