Big news! Iām opening my shop back up after my baby break š. However, I will ONLY be selling the current stock I have, Iām not able to remake or restock, or make commissions. Iām able to post around baby needs but cracking out the resin is definitely a step too far haha. So when itās gone itās gone (at least for the next few months). If thereās something youāve had your eye on, now is the time to grab it šæļø

What a lovely review š I know Iām biased but I do have the nicest customers š„°
Happy !!! Throw back to August 2014 when I went specifically to Helsinki to see the 100 year Tove Jansson celebrations š. Magic holiday!
On my way to post orders today- the Cathedral looks magical in the snow!
Today I made these two, from recycled copies of āWinnie the Poohā! There are already versions in the shop available as pin badges, but I felt they deserved to spread their wings as necklaces too š

Lots of lovely new teeny tiny Piglet pendants! All made from a recycled vintage copy of āWinnie the Poohā
This is my latest project- little paper baubles. I had a set of miniature Beatrix Potter books to recycle that I wasnāt sure what to do with, as the illustrations were a little bit small for my usual jewellery. After thinking about it I had the idea of using the whole page, so I could incorporate the text as well. Each little book made a set of three baubles, and there are āThe Flopsy Bunniesā, āJemima Puddle duckā and āThe Tailor of Gloucesterā. Each bauble is about 2 inches high, and made from an upcycled vintage book. Iāll try and get them in the Etsy shop by the weekend, but if youād like first dibs send me a direct message before then. š
Absolutely lovely evening on Tuesday at listening to a fascinating talk by .saint.author . And got my copy of Elektra signed š. Would heartily recommend both this and her previous book āAriadneā.
I feel like thereās been a bit of a bandwagon for retelling Greek legends ever since Madeline Millerās outstanding āThe Song of Achillesā, so I tend to have reservations whenever I see another one. Jennifer Saintās novels, however, are absolutely worth your time!
Make a wish š¼
****SALE TIME!!!!**** Itās my birthday month! So everything in the shop is 10% off for the whole month š
LibraryJewelleryBox (by Jennifer) - Etsy UK Shop The Library Jewellery Box by LibraryJewelleryBox located in St Albans, England. Top shop for gifts. Buyers bought gifts from this shop and gave them 5-star reviews!
I know this hardly matches the weather at the moment š„µ but Iāve added a couple more Winnie the Pooh ornaments to the collection, including a new snow scene! Made from recycled book illustrations from charity shop books.
I canāt believe I missed ! š A day late but hereās Alice and her little black kitten šāā¬
Ornament handmade from an upcycled vintage book illustration.
Lovely day in the garden reading. Also took the opportunity to try out my new toy- a little handheld electric engraving tool. Made myself a crow out of a bark chipping, to go with my book (which, incidentally, is brilliant. Fingers crossed for a happy ending!).
Today is the official Alice in Wonderland Day! Which is great timing, as Iāve just restocked on my Alice ornaments. Iāve also made a few new ones with the White Rabbit š, Mad Hatter š©, Caterpillar š and the Cheshire Cat š±! Click on the link in the pic to see them all šŗ.
These ornaments have been handmade by me from upcycled vintage book illustrations. The books are sourced from charity shops so a donation is made for each one. (This most recent edition of Alice used in these pieces supported St Elizabethās, a charity that supports adults with complex learning difficulties).
Happy Alice in Wonderland Day! Drink all the tea š«!
This weekās brought to you by our visit to beautiful Holker Hall in the Lake District šš (the whole house and gardens are well worth a peek if youāre in the area!).
GUINEA PIG!!!! This little guy is one of the animals that ring the end papers of Beatrix Potterās books. But heās very rare- only certain reprints of early Potter books have him. This is the only one Iāve found so far, and I love him!!! Like all my original pieces, this is a second hand bookshop rescue, so I donāt know how long Iāll have to wait before another turns upā¦ So if you want to get your guinea pig on, now is the time to do it! š(also- why is there no guinea pig emoji? Surely an oversight).
Two new illustrations to join my collection of mice pendants (swipe for the two originals). A mouse and a mouse! Iāve made all of these lovely necklaces from an upcycled copy of Beatrix Potterās āThe Tailor of Gloucesterā. You can find them in the Etsy shop- link in bio.

Time to hop into spring! Jeremy Fisher Ornament, Handmade from an upcycled vintage Beatrix Potter book illustration
New in the shop- some very cute Mrs Tittlemouse ornaments š. Handmade from an upcycled Beatrix Potter book š
Jeremy Fisher pin brooches! Iāve handmade these from recycled illustrations from the opening pages of Beatrix Potter story books. Iāll be adding some matching necklaces to the shop next week.
I havenāt made any boxes in ages, but Iāve saved this illustration for months, and finally found the perfect shaped box to put it on! The recycled picture was actually originally 2 illustrations spread over 2 facing pages of the book. Iāve united them to make one long picture!
Iāve painted this box a soft natural/white. There will be the option of painting a name/initials across the top right space if youād like to personalise it. Iām still finishing the inside, but if youād like to get in early and call dibs you can reserve it before it goes in the Etsy shop!
Mousey Brooches are restocked in the shop! These lovely little meeces are made from the upcycled front pages of Beatrix Potter books. I may have already nabbed one of the Two Bad Mice ones for myself ššš
How sweet would one of these lovely Winnie the Pooh and Piglet necklaces be as a Valentineās gift? I know a lot of people bought Pooh and Piglet ornaments for their significant others at Christmas, so Iāve been on the hunt for illustrations small enough to make into necklaces.
As with the ornaments, these are made from recycled vintage books that were donated to charity shops.
1000 sales for The Library Jewellery Box! š That is a LOT of hand drawn Rio thank yous, a lot of stamps, and a lot of hand written tags! Itās also a lot of books recycled, and a lot of donations made to charity shops!
Thank you so so much to all my lovely customers. People have written me lovely messages all over the world telling me why they wanted a particular illustration from a book or of a character, and Iāve sent things for new babies, weddings, and memorials. Thatās something I never imagined coming from this little shop, and it been very special. # # #
Initial Bookmarks- I make these with copies of beautiful letters Iāve found in antique books. (No actual books are harmed! š). Theyāre always very popular around Christmas, but make a lovely personalised gift at any time of the year (*cough* Valentines *cough*).
As well as this bronze version, I also make ones in silver, and in a cute owl shape. See more details in the LibraryJewelleryBox shop- link in bio.
Itās been a good week for greyhounds- look at all these beauties that went to their new owners over the weekend! Necklaces, brooches/pins and cuff links. All handmade from copies of antique book illustrations!
How did I not know it was Winnie the Pooh Day?!? I love him so much he has a whole section of my shop to himself, all made out of recycled book illustrations š§ø
Iāve added another illustration to my collection of Peter Rabbit necklaces. You can find him in the āBeatrix Potterā section of my shop (Link in bio). This particular picture was from the very battered 1950s edition of āPeter Rabbitā you can see below him- itās lovely to be able to save the pictures and give them a second life!
