Know Your V**e: Our Official Statement on the Va**ng Illness Epidemic

Bedford Slims, as a small family-owned company, cares deeply about our customers. Since our inception in 2010, we have made a commitment to create products with integrity and safety. Today, we are very concerned with the current news of va**ng-related lung complications and we send our condolences to those affected.

For the record, Bedford Slims has never used Vitamin E Acetate or any other additive linked to what the CDC is calling “Severe Pulmonary Disease.” In fact, we were the first company in America to release our ingredients on the packaging and in our marketing. Additionally, we have always made our cartridges precisely the same way since the beginning save for a few flavor changes.

The chemicals used by black market producers to create their v***r products are oil-based substances used to thicken the e-juice. When v**ed, the oils tend to collect and harden in the lungs causing airways to block. Any ingredient used to thicken our juice would actually cause our cartridge to clog and malfunction - you would taste burning almost immediately.

We routinely test batches for impurities and other issues and this is commonplace for many reputable electronic cigarette brands. Testing at the street level, however, is not common practice. Every time you purchase a black market v**e - be it a CBD, THC, or Ni****ne product - you are subjecting yourself to whatever makeshift conditions were utilized to produce it.

In the very rational words of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo - “If you don’t know what you are smoking, don’t smoke it…” Technically it should be “Don’t v**e it,” but nevertheless the message is valid.

This situation reaffirms our core mission to produce the highest quality products. The safety and well-being of our customer will always be our first priority. As always, we recommend that you reach out to your primary care physician with any specific medical concerns regarding va**ng. Only your doctor should be making the call on va**ng if you have a chronic illness and/or other health issues.
