Our blind instructors with Masters Degrees provide services that are still, even 20 years later, “ahead of the curve” from traditional blindness institutions, such as:
EARLY EDUCATION:
Did you know that 90% of a child’s brain is developed before the age of 5? Even some “developed” countries won’t teach blind children orientation, mobility and cane navigation until the age of 7. Do you realize how much developmental time is lost? We teach sonic and tactile awareness as early as possible and even put Perception canes in their hand as early as a year old.
TRAINING THE BRAIN:
ClickSonar clicks+Audible Awareness+Perception Cane activates the Visual Cortex, training the brain to rewire to develop SonarVision.
HELPING AUTISTIC BLIND KIDS:
We specialize in Special Education services and advocacy for families and Assessment Reports for School Districts, and much more.
2020+:
Daniel Kish, Founder and President of World Access For The Blind/Visioneers marks two decades of teaching blind people of all ages to learn to see with sound.
He was the first blind Orientation & Mobility instructor certified to, essentially, “teach blind people how to be blind” and he also earned two Master’s Degrees in Special Education and Developmental Psychology.
Some of his blind former students are are now Instructor Visioneers, also with Master’s Degrees who have participated in journaled global research studies with Daniel that have validated his methodology of training the brain to re-wire and activate the Visual Cortex to see using click sonar echolocation.
And in the current political climate where funding for programs and services for persons living with disabilities has greatly diminished, your thoughtful financial support this year will help Daniel and his team to teach it to more blind children, and at a younger age.
