Meet our Editor in Chief!
Karisma is a second year studying communications and marketing. She became interested in human rights after tutoring refugees and non-native English speakers to help them pass NY State required exams. She hopes to work alongside other students in NUHRO on projects that raise awareness and help alleviate human rights issues.

Meet the Historian Kota Ohashi!! He is from Tokyo Japan and currently majoring in Marketing and Finance and minoring in Economics. Coming from Japan and studying in America, Kota has become more interested in human rights and how people are treated differently in different country. He is hoping to being different perspective to the group and make the group more lively and interesting!
Meet our Treasurer!! Sameer is a second year studying Finance and International Affairs. He has been involved in human rights issues throughout his life by actively helping underprivileged kids in India and many other issues. Growing up in over 4 countries has allowed him to gain a worldly perspective on issues affecting different parts of the world. Sameer is very passionate about human rights and is excited for the future of NUHRO!
Meet Zak!! Zak is the proud co-founder and president of Northeastern University Human Rights Organization. He is deeply passionate about human rights, conflict resolution, and international law. Zak is currently a second year student studying International Affairs with a concentration in Human Rights and a minor in History. In his free time Zak enjoys writing, following politics, and rooting for the New York Yankees
Meet our Social Media/Marketing Manager!! Mary is a second year studying Business Marketing and is very excited about the future of NUHRO and what is to come. She has always been very passionate about human rights, especially after herself and her family have been personally affected by current political events.
Meet our Secretary!! Charlie is a second year Finance and Economics major. Her interest in human rights stemmed from working with the Liberty in North Korea club a few years ago. Growing up in China, she had the opportunity to experience a completely different perspective on global human rights issues. Charlie is looking forwards to learning more alongside peers who are equally enthusiastic.
Meet our Vice President!! Corinna is a second year studying Business and Psychology. She has always been passionate about human rights and is excited to be part of a community with similar interests! During her time studying abroad in Greece she was able to learn a lot about the Syrian refugee crisis in a country directly affected, which was an incredible learning experience.

Anthony is a second year Economics major with minors in Computer Science and Theater. He is a cofounder of NUHRO and the current President! Some of his goals for the club include increasing awareness about issues around the world and getting other students encouraged to learn and discuss these issues.
