Fell short in the finals, but these boys battled hard in the 90+ degree heat to come in second place on Father’s Day weekend. Next up is the State Tournament in two weeks!

These boys had an absolutely amazing weekend finishing in second at the Law Enforcement Memorial Tournament in Conway this weekend.

They finished 2nd in a tournament with 4 Major level teams and one other AAA team. The boys came up short in the championship game after having a 5-3 lead when the game was delayed for rain. After the rain they fell behind but were able to tie the game up with a huge 2 out triple that scored 2 runs. We eventually ended up losing by 8-7, but the effort the boys put forward after losing to that same team yesterday 13-1 was impressive. They are such a special group of boys.

Come from behind win in the last inning when we were down 4-5 and we scored 3 times before time expired to win 7-5 to start the morning off right. Next is HG Cardinals vs Nextup Cardinals at 12:30

The boys earned the 3 seed and will be playing at 9 am tomorrow!

It was the best of the Cardinals…it was the worst of the Cardinals. It was a tale of two Cardinals teams as the boys struggled mightily in the first game, but then bounced back amazingly for the second game. Playing two major teams we went 1-1 for the day and are ready to head back tomorrow for elimination day. Gametime TBD.

Cardinals head to Conway to face 2 strong teams in a tournament that is showcasing some of the best 11 year old talent in Central Arkansas. Games are at 9am and 1pm!

Humid day at the ballpark, and while we went 0-2 against 12 year old teams it wasn’t all bad news. Bryson hit his first out of the park homerun! Way to go Bryson!

Definitely didn’t end the way we had hoped today. After winning the first game the boys fell in the second game 4-2. The boys played well and fought to the bitter end. We’ll be back at practice this week and playing in Benton next weekend.

The boys bats showed up today and they went 2-0, winning 16-7 & 12-1! They’re the #1 seed heading into tomorrow and play at 2:15.

Tomorrow starts another tournament weekend for the Cardinals. We’ll be in Cabot for the Firefighters Memorial Tournament. Go Cards!

We’ve taken the weekend off from baseball to celebrate Mother’s Day to all the baseball Mama’s on our team. Happy Mothers Day!

To say the weekend didn’t go as planned would be a giant understatement. Saturday started with a 2 hour rain delay and no rain. We then won game 1 and ended up losing game 2 in what was a rain delayed game. We were in prime position to finish on top on Sunday but the Sunday games were cancelled due to rain.

The team pivoted to some extra pool time and a retro arcade trip. So despite the weather issues and far less baseball games than we had planned, I think the boys all still had a blast!
