Antibiotics are those medications that pop up everywhere, which is why they are commonly tested on!

Antibiotic overview:
👉Used for treatment & prevention of bacterial infections
🦠Antibiotics can be bactericidal (kill the infection) or bacteriostatic (stop the infection from growing, ultimately killing it)
👉Finish the entire prescription of antibiotics (Even if symptoms are improving)
🦠Always obtain cultures BEFORE administering an antibiotic
👉Many antibiotics can cause photosensitivity. Encourage patients to wear sunscreen and protective clothing if exposed to the sun
