The coalition consists of practitioners and students across diverse practice settings, who are committed to creating an action plan to advance the practice of pharmacy in Kentucky. The Coalition is comprised of four workgroups, with specific goals:

We are pleased to share that our first CE training program for “Protocol Driven-Care in Community Pharmacies – Acute Influenza Treatment” is now live on CE Central. The training consists of on-line modules that must be completed prior to registering for a live training session. The next live training session will be held on Sunday, December 9 from 1 pm – 5 pm at APSC, 102 Enterprise Drive, Frankfort, KY.

Look for more protocol-driven care training programs to be developed in the future for the additional conditions authorized by the Board of Pharmacy.

Are you a Kentucky pharmacist assisting with hurricane Harvey?

Texas Governor Abbott has requested that the Texas Board of Pharmacy work with pharmacists to expedite the issuance of temporary licenses for out-of-state licensed pharmacists who are needed by Texas pharmacies to aid in the Texas Disaster Recovery effort.

If you are a pharmacist with an active license, you may apply for a temporary pharmacist license. The temporary license will allow you to work for a period up to 6 months.
